Apples and Wounds Empty

Shiruku didn’t understand this encounter very well, it was like a bad accident turned date? Not really so much of a date as it was a training session, maybe? There was a reason to why Shiruku didn’t understand this encounter. The first reason was how it started, she had been buying a few shuriken with the money her mother had given her, and as she had left the shop she had run into a boy and like a clutz… lost grip on the shuriken, they had lucky not injured the boy past a few scratches… Or at least at first, one of the shuriken had left a long scratch going down the left side of his face, and while it wasn’t overly deep or severe, it was obviously going to leave a scar. Shiruku had felt ashamed, and further guilt came when he had apologized for bumping her while she was holding such dangerous tools in her hands.
The shop owner had seen most of this and had come out with bandages and wrapped up a few of the patches where he had gotten cut by the weapons. After that Shiruku had tried to apologize, but he quickly shrugged it off again as his fault… he had been so… dull. “What’s your name, I’m Shiruku Hana.” She had said, he had replied in kind. Scratching his neck he asked if she had been hungry, she said yes even though she really wasn’t. He hadn’t asked why a little girl was carrying such dangerous ninja tools, but she had a feeling he either didn’t care or didn’t want to know. They had gone to a little ramen shop near the entrance to the village and eaten there, she tried to pay, but he refused to let her. Now she was in his home… He wasn’t sure why but his clan seemed to be having fun… she thought.

Shikamoa wasn’t nearly as confused as his fellow ninja in training compatriot. That was just not a thing he found himself to really be capable of in day to day motions when things happened. All things happened for a reason he just wasn’t quite sure what reason that was yet. His day had started out with him waiting on his sisters to train for a bit and when they arrived at seven that morning like was normal, he had been worked brutally as normal, and since it was the last day that his older sister Pain would be with him while he was training she had told him to run into town and grab a target or some pain to to make one on a tree. He had gone to the ninja shop that morning to pick up the target but instead was shredded by accidently flying shuriken. The shopkeeper had come out of the store and wrapped him up in bandages, soon after he found himself apologizing to the young girl for making her drop her shuriken, she was obviously his age if she was going to this shop as it only served the ninjas in Konoha that were above the age of 12. Remembering his experience with Nathan he went on to offer her an invitation to join him for lunch. It was the least the boy could do… right? They had gone out for lunch and for some reason they had ended up in his clan’s main household, which happened to be his home. He didn’t get how anymore than his compatriot, but it was where they had wound up coming after talking for a bit and deciding of matters such as how he would explain the bandages when he had only gone out to get a target. The explanation, however, had made his father and mother laugh… that at least was good.

"Shikamoa why are we here exactly? It feels really uneasy being taken into your home on such short notice... Is this safe?" Shiruku asked picking around for answers the boy probably didn't have. Its not like she was scared per se, but it was definitely not what she had expected when they had spoke about her learning Kenjutsu... or rather practicing it with family of Kenjutsu specialists. That was what the boy had promised to bring her to do, that and she wanted to apologize to his family for cutting their son... she was uneasy about that still. He was a very dull boy, but he was so happy and positive that the dull factor was a nonexistent one. She felt a deep slice of guilt for injuring the boy.
