PostSubject: Whether the Weather, Whatever the Weather, the Training Shall Forever Go On   Whether the Weather, Whatever the Weather, the Training Shall Forever Go On I_icon_minitimeSun Jul 12, 2015 6:28 pm

It was her village. Yusuri figured this out very quickly, as she knew these buildings and routes, the damp cobblestone roads that made up her village’s streets. It was a recurring illusion within the gourds head. A self-torment that confined and murdered her emotions and hollowed out her heart to leave it empty. Heart, a beautiful muscle that lived within the chest, between the warm embrace of the outer flesh and its own personal kiln. Her heart was a clay pot, one as sturdy and strong as iron, but just as fragile as it was sturdy. Her body was but soft flesh, tissues to cover up the tears they had long since absorbed.
The dream furthered as normal, Yusuri was being shoved by an unseen hand to the town square, Onii-Chan had stayed home to take of Papa and Mum. He wasn’t sick like her parents he was stronger, much stronger than that. As she reached the town square the smell of rain that comforted her, disappeared. Disappeared like her village was in the future of this nightmarish dream. She was given the hell of remembrance, the hell of having the screams, smell, and sights seared into her by the flames that could not lick her flesh.
The smell was oddly enough one of cedar and cherries for the moment of peace she had. Then the screams started to ring out, she became scared, what was happening? Why was everyone so scared and of what? Then the scent changed, it smelled like Momma’s homemade steak for only a second, then it became a disgusting smell. The smell of flesh burning on someone’s living body, Yusuri very quickly came to realize this horrific event taking place. The realization made the whole experience worse.
The landscape fell away into the dark and all that she saw was her older brother. For a moment the gentle girl inside Yusuri smiled and ran to him, only to stop as he started to burn up from the ground to his head, falling as a pile of bones. Pure white bones, his clothes tatters of what they had been. Moving backwards her great sense of balance betrayed her and she tripped landing on her on her back, the skull moved at this time right up to her legs and peered at her. It’s jaw kept clicking and shaking violently for a while before it stopped, it was silent for a second as Yusuri stared in horror. As she shifted back the skull followed, it began to chant, “It hurts, stop the flames. Yusuri stop the flames. Get me out of the flames. Yusuri! YUSURI! GET ME OUT IT BURNS! GET ME OUT!” Yusuri started to move backwards for the first time in a state of mental and physical panic. She twisted her body and ran only to be stopped by a flame, she twirled around and ran back but was stopped by the fire yet again. As she twisted back around she was faced by the skulls of her former villagers.
“Yusuri it’s painful. Save us from the flames.” They chanted as flames slowly rose up cutting her path off. The skull sitting in their own flames as well. Yusuri was scared to say the least, but she repetitive in her determination to deafen it all. Only her mind had no form of sound-canceling earphones. She was a prisoner here, inside her subconscious plane of existence. It was a cruel memory that haunted her, “I see fire.” She whispered to herself and began to hum her only song, once more in the melodious voice she once held as her pride, dancing inside the flames and skulls. The screams and fire died down for the time being as she moved in circles and waved with the flames she danced like the flames that had not licked upon her skin, but scorched her memory with the horror of flames. She danced in a style that one would think was flowing as water, but heated, and powerful like fire’s powerful sparks.
Dancing does not simply rid one of their nightmares, to be completely honest within herself, Yusuri understood not where the dancing began in this nightmare, another of strange constant, but the dream was no where near it’s end. As she danced in flames the storm clouds rolled in and the next scene began to play out in the set scheme of things. The skulls were rising into the air slowly, however, bones do not rise into the air. No they rose on skeletal bodies, barren of everything but blackened and charred bones. They rose from their graves like the heavens rose from the earth in a bright flash and a long downpour of rain. Like thunder booms, their chant did ring. Her brother stood at the head of the pack the thunder of voices dying out as quick as the lightning that caused it. Her brother stepped forward and the army of villagers were once again human, the environment a large ballroom and the people were all dressed in traditional clothing for the situation. Yusuri’s gown a strapless coffee colored dress that twisted in a swirl as it progressed past her waist, she felt exposed. Her brother quickly took her hand and lead her silently into a dance, a faint tune she sang quite often played as they floated about the dance floor and that was when the floor fell out and her dress became her trench coat. The pictured and figures disappeared and she was dropped into her cage, and then she woke up.

Yusuri was, for lack of better terms freaked by her own dream. At least as much as she could be for Yusuri. She wasn't really the panicking type of person. Standing up she got dressed and left on a empty stomach. She didn’t necessarily think upon the matter of food, she was occupied with escaping, giving her the excuse she needed to take her pata and leave the house and train. She moved without a single misstep to reach her next destination. Her “special” field, a place she had found a while back.

Dreadful, it was the only word she could use to describe her style to this point in time. Without actually attempting for use chakra it worked great, however when she attempted her small platform to complete the dance she had found it murdered her chakra reserves to something she couldn't bear to hope would be use in combat. It would drain her too quickly. She couldn't afford to ever be that low on chakra in combat. Yusuri could not afford for this to be her top level of combatance, no she needed to expand her chakra pool, but she also needed to build up her stamina. To do this she had come here, it was a spot that made her feel out of the world and inside of a fantasy. The gourdesque femme didn’t have to bother with her surroundings here, they were secluded and away from even the frequented areas of the woods, a small stream ran to the right connecting to the Konoha river, and to in a Seventy-Five radius semi-circles the area was a rocky meadow full of small to large stones big enough to sit or lay down on

Yusuri had awoken with the dawn of the sun, as she did everyday of her life, it was a habituated ritual of hers that started way back as a young child. Being the daughter of an Innkeeper and Hot Spring Resort Owner she helped out from her younger days of her fifth year of life up until the day of the incident. Many would call this pure luck, or say she was chosen to carry on the task of some deity or heavenly force. But it was a contract brought by a devil in her opinion, she didn’t listen to that cause anymore. She had to follow the order of her Lady. Iku, she could have fought and lost a battle, but her all would have been a loss, so instead she forfeited a match that was decided before it truly started to come about. Iku asked for her unconditional servitude, Yusuri had no reason not refuse such a request by any means. So she would get stronger to fulfill her role. She would be the servant for the Uchiha girl that had requested her servitude, Uchiha Iku, her Lady.

Besides her knowledge of being weak compared to many, Yusuri knew that she needed to challenge herself to truly train hard. The weather had been the decisive factor in today's practice, for example, it was only a bit foggy now, but as the afternoon progressed it would continuously become worse. She would end up having to not waste anytime today, it was going to hurt, but until she could do it she was staying out here, secluded. What she was her to accomplish was simple get stronger. Setting her practice pata on the ground besides the largest grey stone, she lay flat on the rock and got into a curl up position. She started slow as there was no need to rush, considering she was not going to stop anytime soon. Up, down, motions that came with ease. Her arms crossed on her chest, right over left, as she moved, her body finding its way upwards and then back down. The burn of such a exercise was immediate after only so many but she continued. By twenty curl ups she was fine with her pass, but as she gradually picked up her pace twenty became thirty, thirty became forty, forty became fifty, then sixty. She started to feel the burn even more as the number went up, but she didn’t stop. As she reached one hundred she was drained of her initial burst of energy, a pain in her gut brought about from simple burn as the fire progressively stocked up. It became a wrenching feeling almost irritatingly large in her gut.

Reaching her wanted quota of One Hundred and Fifty curl ups, Yusuri stood up and stretched back out, starting with ten second arm stretches, once with both arms, then following with a shoulder stretch for each arm. Getting down into a pushup position she began the opposite rhythm of before down, up, down, up. She had a goal here to; One hundred  push-ups in one go. She needed to do it all, and do it right, so as she moved she lowered or quickened her pace to accommodate to the strain she felt. Unaware of her surroundings as she worked.

Sylvan yawned, and rolled out of bed onto the floor, groaning in pain.. She had woken up early in the morning, as usual. She and Yusuri usually didn't wake up at the same time, one of them waking up before or after the other. Sylvan didn't really care at the moment though, she had to get ready to face the day. Tossing the covers that had gotten tangled around her legs, she got up off the floor and went to the bathroom. She always wound up smelling like the fores, but she did prefer to keep cleaner than normal when inside the house. Yusuri hadn't blocked her sense of smell, after all. while these efforts on Sylvan's part didn't actually eliminate her scent, it did make it bearable enough for Yusuri to put up with. And given that the forest wasn't entirely safe to sleep in, sylvan made the effort. Besides, she liked Yusuri and enjoyed the cooking and quiet of the house. While she loved the forest, it was definitely not quiet, even at night. As a contrast, the house was dead quiet. They had gotten good sound-proofing, and neither of them had heavy footsteps. Their conversations were mostly telepathic, for Yusuri's sake.
Part of Sylvan liked Sena, but both The Girl and the Dark Thing were still introverts. A quiet house with a roommate that didn't care to bother them was a treasured thing. The Girl enjoyed spending time with Sena, but her ability to be social did not last long.
Sylvan brushes her teeth as she stares at her reflection in the mirror, lilac eyes meeting lilac eyes. She wasn't vain, and her look didn't bother her most of the time. The twigs and leaves still in her hair were evidence of this. One by one, she picked them out and tossed them through the window. It was still early enough that few people were up and making noise, so she could probably get to the forest before the people started if she hurried.
After bathing as clean as she ever got, Sylvan went to get dressed. She pulled on some dark grey slacks and a faded dark green t-shirt with the Yamanaka clan emblem on the front and back. Over that she put her hoodie. At her thighs she secured the bags containing her Kunai and shurikens. Down the stairs she went, into the kitchen to make some food before heading out into the woods.
creeeeaaaak
"Oh dear..." Empty. They were out of food. And ingredients too. How had they not noticed this earlier? She didn;t bother calling out to Yusuri for two reasons. One, she had just heard the door close, and two, Yusuri wouldn't hear her no matter what she did. Grumbling to herself, Sylvan continues looking through the cabinets, hoping against hope she wouldn't have to do it. No luck. All the cabinets were empty. sylvan sighs, thumping her head on the counter. "Nooooooo..." The two voices within her groan. "Do we have to?" "do you want to eat?" But there's people!" "I know, don't worry. We can get through this. We'll have Yusuri, after all." "But what if she doesn't help us?" "Then she'll starve."
The argument having been decided in The Dark Thing's favor, the two headed out the door. Unlike Yusuri, they merely headed for the nearest patch of forest. Most of it was connect, after all. They had a vague idea of where Yusuri's training area was, but they weren't entirely sure. Still, they knew the forest very well, and Yusuri wasn't that far ahead of them. Once they entered the forest, it was straight to the treetops, and from there the area where Yusuri was entering the forest. Spotting her, sylvan began to follow her from the tree tops. They wanted to get a better idea of where she trained, and maybe watch her. They had not yet seen her dancing yet, and they were more than a little curious.
Eventually, Yusuri arrived at the clearing, appearing to have not yet noticed Sylvan watching her form a tree. This suited Sylvan just fine, as she was in no hurry to walk into the hell that was other people, especially in the market. It was very loud in there, and Sylvan did not have earmuffs. She generally needed a person to come with her, or an extremely urgent reason. since she would have to rebuild their supply of food form scratch, she needed both. Down below, Yusuri began her exercises. Sylvna, judging that it would take Yusuri awhile, began moving back from the clearing to find a place to descend to ground level. She also needed to train.

Yusuri Clypeus, was by no means great at what she did. However, she did it all correctly, and she did so the first time. It is was drilled into her to do it so at Kiri, the land hidden in rain. The place she was born and supposed to grow up in. They got no such luxury, being the daughter of a hot spring resort owner, she had only known the workings of the hot spring. It had been her life, then training with the Kiri ninja had been her life, then she and Samhain had left and came to the Konoha village. It was funny that she came to the fire country, in a ironic sense, since she hated fire. However, the starry night skies, the kind villagers, the warm weather. It was all a change of pace, a change of life styles.
Habits and rituals of life were hard to quit no matter what. Her trench coat was the first sign of this as it had no use in this heat. As she finished the last of her beginning exercises, Yusuri stood up, it was truly too warm for this trench coat, even by her stubborn mind it was much to warm. Sylvan for this reason was in for a treat that very, very few got to see. What was under that titanic piece of cloth she wore all the time, quickly unbuttoning the front, said buttons being hidden under a flap of fabric, she slowly exited her cacoon of a trench coat to reveal a rather slender form. She was by any women or man's definition; plain, or lacking by those of perverted or rude temperaments. She was the type of person that was better to be used for imagination and not truly one to see. As her jacket was removed, Yusuri was revealed to be a plank-like women. Her body being fit, and by anyone's standards well-built for her stature. Over her chest and back she wore a black long sleeve shirt, the back of which showed a White shield in the form of star sign scutum. The shield, despite what it was, had a elaborate internal design of stitching. Each one bearing what looked like parts of a ocean wave and a ember on the very bottom tips of the symbol. Her legs also covered in a similar black colored cloth, the cargo pants matching the shirt, all except the pockets, of which were brown, and her ensemble being topped off with black combat sandals.
Picking up her practice pata, she put on the wooden swords and began to swing the in diagonal and horizontal slashes. Her body twisting as she did so, however, she wasn't dancing yet. No, her body simply followed the blades as they moved. Beginning to get into the movement she quickened her pace, rather than switching her footing her began to wobble slightly, tittering in place before hopping to the right, graceful and elegant in her movements as she came back down and immediately crouched down upon landing, sweeping her other leg out as she twirled around and came to a stop.

Sylvan paused.  She realized she knew very little about her roommate, which was both odd and unsurprising. Odd because they shared a roof (and occasionally a telepathic connection, when they cooked.) and unsurprising because it was Yusuri. Sylvan knew something traumatic had happened, and that it involved fire, due to the way Yusuri got edgy whenever she tried to heat the house in the winter. She knew Yusuri danced, but had never seen her in action. She hoped to, someday. Sylvan enjoyed the concept of dancing, but hadn’t had the time to put much effort towards learning a specific style. Perhaps Yusuri would inspire her. At the very least, it would interesting to see what Yusuri did to train. "Why are we spying on our roommate? Didn't we have something important to do? Like, food? We need to eat, and you know we can't go into the market without help!" "Oh come on! We aren't going to get a chance like this again! I want to see Yusuri dancing outside of combat!" "I'm sure we could just ask! This is creepy!" "huh, she's taking her coat off." "What?! Where?! Show me!" "..." "I mean, uh. ... bugger." "Tee hee! right over there." "Wow! So that's what she looks like under her coat..... Why was I so excited to see this again?" "She looks like a plank." "What do you mean?" "I'll tell you when your older." "I'm as old as you!" "Keep telling yourself that Sis." "I will! and you too, until I can get it through that thick skull of yours." "Ha! Good luck with that.... wait.." "Tee hee!"
In truth, the reveal was rather underwhelming. As far as Sylvan was concerned. Part of her didn't get it, and the part that did didn't really care. "I like the designs though." "Sister! I know what you're thinking! She will too mind!" "She won't mi- What, why?" "That's probably her clan emblem or something! So no, you can't get the pattern instructions to make your own!" "Aww... You're no fun Sis!" "This, coming from the one that wants to pick fights with Uchiha? You have too much pride sister!" "Lies! I have the perfect amount of pride!" "Ugh. You're hopeless sister." And on they argued. They stopped briefly as she began dancing, but then fell into another argument about whether or not it qualified as dancing. "It sure looks like dancing to me!" "It isn't! She's just warming up I tell you!" "How would you know?!" "Because I unlike you, I take an interest in the arts!" "You can't dance though!" "Maybe not professionally or in combat, but I can in a social setting! You say you want to meet people, but shrivel up and hide in a bush every time we go to market!" "You do too!" "Yeah, but I'm the one arguing against us going!" Whether or not any of those statements were true, each believed in their truth at the moment. It was their way, when they were bored. They were also warming up, after all, and they hated focusing on that fact while they did it, so they argued. Each considered it both an elegant solution and their own idea.
Once Yusuri was finished with her warm ups, they intended to wander over and inquire abotu going to the market with her.

As odd as it was not to know much about the quiet, self-deafened girl known as Yusuri. She was dull, and secretive, with only one person actually coming close to knowing her past, not including the Hokage who gave her refuge and a chance to work for the village as a ninja. Two, now that Sylvan had spied on her, had seen her actual family crest. Leaving four to know the actual truth of where she came from, not including the nosier of townsfolk. Despite this, still very few knew anything about the actual enigma of Yusuri Clypeus. As her mind scrambled, the young girl moved in her continuous motions, the rocks hidden in the grass being avoided by simple inches, her body simply cutting out a asymetrical trail through the tall grass and rocks, seeming to oddly enough avoid any contact with the unliving, nonorganic stones that surrounded her and as she slowly sped up her twirling become more constant until it was hard to tell that she was actually spinning on one foot. Her body leaning with the curves of her path in the clearing. As she reached a third lap around the small course she had engraved in the ground, Yusuri stopped and turned to where Sylvan had been, she thought that she had seen something, walking in that direction she kept her eyes open to see if there was someone near.
