Mission Breakdown
The following is a short description of the different ranks of missions typically done by shinobi.

Note1: You must be at least a Genin rank to access Missions.

D Rank Missions
Assigned to Genin fresh from the Ninja Academy. They pose almost no risk to the ninja's life and usually consist of odd jobs like farming and babysitting work.

  • Ryou: 125 per 500 words written.
  • Awards: +2 stats distribute or +40 Chak or +40 Stam
  • Requirements: Minimum 750 words

C Rank Missions

  • Ryou: 300 per 500 words written.
  • Awards: +4 stats to distribute or +80 Chak or +80 Stam
  • Requirements: Minimum 1,500 words

B Rank Missions

  • Ryou: 750 per 500 words written.
  • Awards: +8 stats to distribute or +160 Chak or +160 Stam

A Rank Missions
Assigned to Jōnin, concerning, among other things, village or country level matters and trends. Examples are guarding VIPs or suppressing ninja forces. This type of mission poses a high risk factor for all shinobi involved.

  • Ryou: 1000 per 500 words written.
  • Awards: +16 stats to distribute or +320 Chak or +320 Stam
  • Requirements: Minimum of 3,000 words.

S Rank Missions
Assigned to experienced Jōnin, Anbu, and Hunter-Nin. Examples are assassinating VIPs, and transporting highly classified documents. This type of mission poses an extremely high risk factor for shinobi. These missions are only taken during dire straights for a villages survival. This rank of mission is only permitted during times of war/To prevent one and due to this surviving one of these missions grants shinobi a great deal of respect.

  • Ryou: 1250 per 500 words written.
  • Awards: +32 stats to distribute or +640 Chak or +640 Stam
  • Requirements: Special situations *requested by Kage* or during times of War. Minimum of 5,000 words

~ Note: ANBU & other village protection level classes are permitted to partake in A+ level missions outside of times of war.

Mission Failure
When you fail a mission you are given no ryou and all gains are cut in half.
Note: Mission's can be interrupted by another member. *interruptions must have a good reason. i.e. They have been hunting and tracking your character down and came across you while you were in the middle of a mission.*

Kage's Role
The Kage's role is to supply the shinobi of their village with missions.

Team Role
Missions are done in teams (Some cases alone) And these teams often consists of 4 members, that includes the Team leader and its members. In case of Normal missions, the team leader is often a Jounin and a Sensei of the team. Doing missions as a team is great, but being on a Team in general have great perks to it.

  • Bonus: Mission Bonuses [Ryou] Are x3 each [Each person on the team gets x3 Ryou]

=============================

Mission/Bounty Combat

Now, what happens on missions, you say? Encounters! The likelihood of the encounters, of course, depends on the rank of the mission. The strength of the enemies varies depending on the mission. Depending on who intrudes into the mission, the rank of the mission can escalate even higher than originally intended. This is to prevent people from doing A and S Rank missions and meeting no obstacles or challenges along the way. These rules only have to come into play if there are no people willing to actually seriously play the NPC. These rules do not have to come into play if someone is controlling the NPC and decides that, regardless of everything, there will be enemies in the mission. If this is a player versus player mission, these rules will not count.

*Note: These NPCs can be played by you, and can even be used in the case of a solo mission. Do this at your own risk, because killing yourself is unfortunately conceivable when playing against enemies that outnumber you; whether it be skill-wise or with numbers. This also is incorporated into group missions.

Encounter Chance:
D Rank Mission: 1-100 Dice Roll.

  • 1-40 = encounter avoided.
  • 41-50 = opponents at D Rank strength.
  • 51-90 = opponents at C Rank strength.
  • 91-99 = opponents at B Rank strength.
  • 100 = Bad roll; S Rank opponent(s).

C Rank Mission: 1-100 Dice Roll.

  • 1-30 = encounter avoided.
  • 31-50 = opponents at C Rank strength.
  • 51-90 = opponents at B Rank strength.
  • 91-99 = opponents at A Rank strength.
  • 100 = Bad roll; S Rank opponent(s).

B Rank Mission: 1-100 Dice Roll.

  • 1-20 = encounter avoided.
  • 21-50 = opponents at B Rank strength.
  • 51-90 = opponents at A Rank strength.
  • 91-99 = opponents at S Rank strength.
  • 100 = Extremely bad roll; S+ Rank opponent(s).

A Rank Mission: 1-100 Dice Roll.

  • 1-10 = encounter avoided.
  • 11-50 = opponents at A Rank strength.
  • 51-90 = opponents at S Rank strength.
  • 91-100 = opponents at S+ Rank strength.

S Rank Mission: 1-100 Dice Roll.

  • 1-5 = encounter avoided.
  • 6-50 = opponents at S Rank strength.
  • 51-90 = opponents at S+ Rank strength.
  • 91-99 = Oops. Hostile IPC encounter.
  • 100 = Bad roll; oops, Antagonist stray encounter. (consult moderator/admin)

Number of Prey:

  • D - S Rank: Roll 2 1-10 die. Add them.

*Note: In the case that the numbers are over 10, treat 'pawns' of the highest ranking enemy to be 2 ranks lesser than the highest ranking enemy.

NPC Design:
Please follow the page here for guidelines. You only really need to list stats and jutsu used. Specify their facet, like water, genjutsu, etc, and that should be sufficient enough. However, do NOT make information insufficient to the point where basic things like their stats aren't decipherable.
