Enjoying the day

It wasn't a particularly nice day outside, the feeling of unnerving calm before a storm hung heavy in the air as clouds fought to hide the sun behind their grey bulwark. A soft but persistent breeze kept pace, steadily pulling on any and all banners, flags, hair, and clothes. Villagers within Konoha's walls hurried through the streets, trying to get the last of their errands for the day done before whatever rain might come fell, though a number of them found their path through a particular street ever so slightly deterred. For laying down in the middle of what was usually a busy street was an unassuming boy with dark hair. He laid on his back with his hands behind his head and a bundle of bunched up red cloth beneath them. The boy himself was wearing a plain and simple white shirt and a pair of grey pants with a wide black sash around the waist that obscured where either piece ended. The this lad wore was another, thinner and gold trimmed, black sash around his head, at eye level.

Kozu Myosyn wasn't absolutely sure where he was, but he felt pretty confident about his sense of direction and so it was with trusted confidence in his own ability that he lied down here on the ground to enjoy the not too hot or too cold weather. Though when he'd first lowered himself, Kozu immediately knew that he wasn't in his preferred spot at the training grounds, but he figured that he was just resting on a part of the path that lead into the grass covered training field. Kozu was also fairly confident that if someone found him in the way, they'd wake him and ask him to move, so without much care, the youth had started relaxing before completely falling asleep.

As for the townsfolk who were wandering past the dislocated kid, most of them did shoot him curious looks, but none seemed all to concerned with the strange kid sleeping in the middle of the street in the uncertain moments before a storm. A great many of them just moved on and around him, still intent to try and finish their errands without the distraction and hopefully before any downpour could start.

Dust, meanwhile, was actually going for a walk to nowhere in particular. She still needed to learn the city, frankly, and she also didn't mind storms. In fact, she enjoyed the wind and especially liked rain. However, she did not particularly enjoy -- which means enjoy at all -- being cold and wet from rain. She was wearing a comfortable blouse and long pants, given that it was already starting to get chilly out. As a result of that same chilliness, she also had a light jacket -- little more than a windbreaker, however. She had a closed umbrella in her left hand on about a... sixty to seventy five degree angle from her hand to rest on her shoulder. She had no hat, though, as she did not deem one necessary due to the umbrella.

She noticed a gap in the crows ahead and was rather glad for that. She really hated bogged down streets, as they really made no sense when you think about it. Somewhere at the front it isn't congested, so why is the back bogged down? She couldn't really say, as she had never actually been in the front of one of those annoying situations. However, she could see what was causing the bottleneck this time. Everyone was giving that boy a rather wide berth, which she supposed was fair. You never know what kind of crazies are just walking through the streets in these days.

She approached the resting -- at least, she hoped -- boy slowly, standing over him for a few seconds. She could feel the others' stares on her now as well, but she didn't really care. Nobody knew her, as she never got out much anyhow. She slowly leaned over his face, uttering a soft "Er... sir, are you awake?" However, granted that if he was asleep, he would certainly have no issues with the bustle of the crowd around him disturbing his sleep. Therefore, a tiny "hello" would do absolutely nothing to get his attention. At this point, she could see that he was indeed sleeping, given the telltale rise and fall of his chest. She ever so slowly leaned down further, ensuring that she never came close to losing her balance and looking like an even bigger weirdo or fool. However, what she was about to do would probably make that whole thing moot anyway. She extended her free right hand and slowly poked him in the forehead, trying to wake him up. Simultaneously, she offered a slightly louder. "Uh... sir, are you awake?"

The dreams that filled the boys head were wild and vivid, colors dancing about in a myriad of shapes and forms that made no sense yet seemed perfectly natural at the same time. In this constantly shifting and chaotic amalgamation of dreamscape, Kozu wandered until something drew his attention, but as he reached out towards it, the dreamscape peeled away from him. Back in the real world, the laying down boy's expression suddenly shifted just before his hand reached upwards accompanied by him sitting up a little bit.

His hand hit something, but he wasn't sure what and as his senses slowly came back Kozu recalled that someone had spoken to him. "Huh, uh... uhmm... What was that? Am I awake?" Kozu repeated while the hand that had originally reached up lowered back down behind his head where he began to scratch an itch. "Well now I guess I am. I suppose you're wanting me to move out of your way so you can use the training grounds right?" Kozu asked as he sat up the rest of the way and reached back behind. His hand patted the ground errantly a few times until the tips of his fingers grazed the bundle of cloth that had been under his head. Apparently finding what he wanted, Kozu seized the cloth and pulled it towards him where it unfolded to show it was a red haori with a grey raindrop pattern.

She recoiled a bit as his hand struck her arm lightly. "...Oh, you were actually sleeping till I woke you up..." she said, half under her breath, half a mumble. "Sorry about that. I just wanted to make sure you were okay and that you hadn't passed out or something," she said sheepishly now. "There's... an awful lot of people you were holding up," she said with a small frown. "I don't mean to be rude at all, but do you have a place to stay or something? This doesn't seem ideal..."

She glanced up, noting the storm clouds again. "...There is also a storm coming, you know. I you getting sick would be rather likely, just laying in the street like that..." She seemed to be at a bit of a loss for words at this point, now standing up fully, a few feet away from the boy. Seeing him scratch his head, she kinda scratched her head a little too, but realised what she was doing and soon stopped it. "...So... uh... why were you here, anyway? Like, why this street to sleep in in particular?" She shifted uncomfortably. She considered leaving, but it would be even more awkward at this point... Well, she had made her bed, she would probably have to lay in it now... at least, she thought that was how the expression went.

She looked over the boy again, noting the apparel. "Speaking of raindrops..." she said as she gestured to the haori, "do you have an umbrella or anything?"

Kozu tried to keep up, replying to the new girl's comments and questions as fast as she asked them. "Yeah I'm fine, thanks for the concern though," he replied to the first one about him possibly passing out. "Geeze, someone could have just told me I was in the way," he added to the comment about him holding up a lot of people, and his reply to the following question was answered as, "yeah. It's nothing fancy but still plenty comfy. I was just in the mood for a change in scenery."

"Mhmm, I knew there was a storm coming, plenty of people mentioned it earlier. Plus you can practically feel the moisture in the air, along with those winds and the temperature drop, honestly I'd be more surprised if we didn't have a storm," he commented back while standing up himself and beginning to put on his haori. He paused in this though when Dust asked if there was any particular reason he chose this street to sleep in. "Wait, duwah? Uhm no, I don't have an umbrella on me but what was that about sleeping in a street? You mean I'm not at the north side training grounds?" Kozu asked back with some disbelief in his voice.

Dust shrugs, shaking her head a bit. "I have found that people would rather inconvenience themselves as well as others greatly than embarrass themselves potentially by disturbing the norm." She paused when the boy mentioned the change in scenery. "Change in scenery, huh? Where were you beforehand, then, unless you mean the rain clouds..." She paused yet again. "Where were you beforehand, then?" So this kid was either homeless or just quite an adventurer. While she had never actually seen a homeless person in this area, oddly enough, she had never really considered the possibility of such a thing for some reason. Considering this kid was rather young, she thought that just being an adventurer was far more likely than being homeless. Upon thinking about it, she could not remember any orphanages in the city either...

"You are... quite observant, so it seems," Dust remarked as this rather interesting guy described his predictions of the weather. She paused as he did so as well, watching the growing confusion seemingly apparent in his body language. "...Uh, well..." she started, unsure how to break the news that he was completely in the wrong area to him. "...This is certainly not a training ground," she started, "this is just some random street." She glanced about a few times, but could not locate any street sign. "I don't know what street this is, though. I guess I am really not that great at directions..." she said, only half joking.

"I was just at home beforehand," Kozu replied to the first question. "Its probably got the more comfy bed but I already sleep there at night, so if I'm taking a nap, I find it best to travel," he added while slipping his haori the rest of the way on and then stretching a little with a couple yawns. Dust's confirmation about him not being at the training fields though caused his eyebrows to arch in some show of alarm as he whipped his head back and forth as if looking for something, though the literal act would prove difficult with the blindfold still in place. "Well dang, yeah it doesn't sound like the training fields either now that you mention it," Kozu went on. "Can't hear the rustle of trees or creak of branches that should be present in such winds. Hmm... guess I'll have to go looking for them... Oh hey," Kozu interrupted his own thought process to point his head back towards Dust. "I don't think I ever actually got your name, I'm Kozu Myosyn."
