Meeting with the Hokage Empty
PostSubject: Meeting with the Hokage   Meeting with the Hokage I_icon_minitimeSun Sep 04, 2016 2:50 pm

It was a bright and sunny, all around beautiful day outside. Clouds drifted slowly through a wide open blue sky, and the sounds of the town generated a warm and happy atmosphere. Seresana however wasn't really feeling that comforted as she perceived this through an open window just outside the Hokage's office. There was no denying the tense atmosphere as the little girl sat there outside the office with her mother. Hesitantly, Seresana looked up and over towards the woman who had told her just this morning to dress nicely since they were going to see the hokage. The older woman had on a elegant dark purple kimono on with a white floral pattern it, and kept her stoic face looking straight ahead as she waited for them to be called.

Seresana started to open her mouth to say something, but then decided against it before letting her gaze fall back down to her lap. Seresana herself was wearing a similar yukata to her mother, the same one in fact that she'd worn to the festival. As they sat there, Seresana tried to think of why they were going to speak to the Hokage but nothing came to her. So she continued to sit quietly, her mind striving to think of why they could possibly need to speak to the Hokage and why it felt so much like she'd gotten into trouble.

Her thoughts were interrupted though when an assistant opened the door and bid Seresana and Sophia into the main office. Silently Sophia stood first with Seresana standing up next to her, and then they both went into the office. Once inside, Sophia bowed deeply and respectfully before flashing a look at Seresana to silently tell her to bow as well. Seresana jumped a little at the intensity of the look but then joined in the bow to the Hokage. "Thank you for seeing us today lady Hokage," Sophia started while still bowing as Seresana kept curious eyes and ear open wide.

The Hokage had a youthful look to her. She was currently dressed in the traditional garb the Hokage's wore normally, minus the hat, that was hanging off the backrest of the seat behind the desk. Upon the desk were many files stacked neatly, but pushed off to the side to have a view of the Hokage who sat in the middle along with having writing room. Though right now she wasn't working on anything as she had an appointment; a mother and daughter if she recalled their names were Sophia and Seresana.

Meeting with the Hokage Hollow

This would be a nice little break from her usual routine. Though also within the same room standing off to the right side of the table, right from the Hokage's perspective, stood a tall fellow, one Seresana seen before at the festival, her wore blue robes from head to toe so you couldn't see his bodily features. Honestly it'd probably would look like a statue or ceremonial armor if it wasn't for the fact that it was breathing and it's chest rose and fell with every breath; This was Shura the Hokage's assistant.

Along the walls were many shelves with many scrolls and books on either side of the room. The Hokage shifted her attention to the door when it opened and saw that the two women were brought inside. She looked to the two who had bowed and she smiled sweetly. "It is no trouble at all, Sophia and Seresana was it? What brings you about today to my humble office?"

Sophia was the first to rise, with an uncertain Seresana following hesitantly behind her. While Sophia's eyes were solidly on the Hokage, Seresana's darted back and forth from her mother to the Hokage and back as she waited for the reason of their visit. "Well lady Hokage, it would seem that a foolish act I once did to protect my daughter has now put her at a greater risk," Sophia started which got Seresana's eyes to widen visibly.

"M-mom?" Seresana hesitantly said while Sophia took a few calm and careful steps forward.

"Not long ago, she went on a mission and was nearly killed by a small group of assailants that from my understanding she shouldn't have had nearly as much trouble with," Sophia added amid her soft steps. At the mention of that, Seresana grimaced and reflexively brought her left hand up to her right shoulder where the scar from the sword was still a bit sore. "I can only blame this close call though on myself and the burden I had my daughter bear, which is why today I am here to tell you the tru-"

"Wait mom, don't!" Seresana pleaded from behind but she recoiled sharply at the intense look Sophia shot back to her. At first Seresana only saw hostility in her mother's cold eyes, but then she noticed the wetness and how close the woman appeared to tears.

"Please Seresana, hold your tongue till I finish. It's rude to speak up so, both to your elder and to Lady Hokage," Sophia said in a gentle tone that defied how tense her expression was. At Seresana's nod, Sophia turned back to face the hokage who's desk she was now standing before. "Now as I was saying, the truth about my origin. My true name before marrying Vesken Hatasuko was not Sophia Hishukoma, it was Sophia Yuki, of the yuki clan of the village hidden in the mists." As she spoke, Sophia produced an old headband bearing the four diagonal dash marks of the hidden mist village and gently placed the headband upon the hokage's desk. "Almost fourteen years ago, before Seresana was born, her real father Reylin Yuki was murdered by a jealous lord who sought me." Sophia's tale was interrupted by a panicked gasp from Seresana who held a complete and total look of shock upon her face.

When Sophia was confident that her daughter would withhold any questions until later, Sophia continued. "On that day when the government wouldn't see justice brought forth, I forsook my allegiance to them and fled. It took a long time to arrive in this wonderful and welcoming village, and when I did it was late with child. I would have come forward with this sooner, but I feared being separated from my daughter when she was still so young and with no other family to care for besides my new husband. Then as the years simply continued to pass, I just tried to forget about it entirely, but when my daughter began showing signs of her bloodline, I knew the time would soon come when I had to come forward with this. That mission was more than enough to show me how foolish I'd been and now my daughter bears a scar for my mistakes," Sophia went on with an increasingly troubled voice. "Now I ask, no, I beg your forgiveness. Both yours lady hokage for my deception, and yours my daughter Seresana. I assume one if not both of you have questions, and I will answer them to the best of my ability," Sophia finished with another respectful bow.

Seresana for the moment was still locked in shocked speechlessness at what she'd heard. Rather than try to get her own mind to put together some kind of semblance of a sentence, Seresana looked towards the Hokage to see her reaction to all this.

From the side of the Hokage and her assistant, they just kept silent. Staring and watching them, seeing the outburst of the child to the mother and the mother to the child. It was amusing to say the least, but the Hokage did a good job to keep a straight face and only show the intention that was she indeed listening to the concerned and worried mother. Awaiting for the opportunity to speak herself, so she just permitted for the mother to keep speaking. It would be a time before the opportunity to respond came, when it did, she allowed for the silence to linger, to let it settle and become nerve racking on purpose before she would actually say something.

It started with her adjusting her sitting position in her chair. "I can understand your concern, Miss...Yuki was it?" The Hokage eyed the headband that was placed on her desk. She then looked toward's Shiro who would nod his head and turn towards one of the walls and quickly he searched through something before pulling out a scroll and then handing it to the Hokage and the Hokage opened it up on the desk.

"You see, Miss Yuki, we aren't left in the dark about who comes in and out of our homeland. We are aware you were from the hidden mist, there are still some who recognize you from years ago, though I'd doubt you remember them." The Hokage's eyes flickered to the scroll and read the lines quickly, rolling up one side and then unrolling the other side to read more lines as they showed up to herself quickly before lifting her gaze toward's the woman. "Some of the charges here places you as quite the dangerous individual, but that's not entirely what this is about." The Hokage smiled gently. "You had been under observation for many years now, a safety precaution since you came here. We were wondering what you were up too, but we didn't want to force an issue if there wasn't any, of course so long as you didn't do anything suspicious, there wasn't any need for us to act upon it. While we knew you were a shinobi of the mist, we did not know you were of the Yuki clan. That is certainly an interesting thing, but a moot point to what you seem to be truly concerned about."

She looked toward's Shiro again and another scroll was given to her, this was the summary report of the mission Sersana went on. The Hokage opened it up, quickly scrolled through it and then spoke once more. "According to this that mission where she was injured was severely misinformed, the client had not provided all the information, which she was injured in, it could easily have been classified as a B ranking. Of course at the same time, she shouldn't have been permitted to take leave alone on a C-rank mission, but it had been highly recommended that she could handle it due to her particular set of skills. To speak the truth based on this report, she handled it just fine, the fact she ever returned with such a injury proves that she's more then capable, any lesser skill shinobi would have died. Seresana, you did well on your last mission, of course, the clientele will be refused from requesting any further mission's here due to him hiding vital information that put not only himself, but you in danger as well." She then looked to her assistant. "Strike him from our clientele list.

Her focus turned to Seresana's mom. "Now Miss Yuki, your daugther quite the capable shinobi, and her injuries are of her own mistakes, not yours. I'm sure you understand this given that you were a shinobi of the mist once upon a time, but once a shinobi sets their foot outside those gates and are on their own missions, there is nothing we can do here. We can only pray that they take what we have taught them and put it to use to survive. The shinobi lifestyle is a dangerous and short lived one and I needn't remind you of it's dangers. Pitting the blame because you didn't speak up about your bloodline, that really holds nothing to the mission she went on. She took what was taught to her and used her skills to the best of her abilities and overcame such overwhelming odds. Even then, the fact that she was more then capable of handling the mission on her own, even with the information error from the initial get go, the whole mission was set against her. But she upheld what it is to be a shinobi, we will not always be given mission's with all the information up front. There will be many times that we will be sent out on a mission without knowing anything more then who the target is, but learning to adapt to an ever changing situation, that right there pushes a shinobi's true skills."

She smiled and then looked at Seresana. "You are quite the capable shinobi, and i'm quite proud to have you enlisted among the leaf shinobi. You did well, though take heed for next time, try not to head alone on your missions even if you are capable of summonings, they will not be able to help you all the time." Shifting her gaze back toward's Seresana's mom, Sophia. "Of course now that you came out with the truth, Miss Yuki we do have that matter to take care of, you should be able to understand, you will have to go with some of our ANBU members, to make sure everything checks out and you are not a sleeper agent, Seresana as well as the rest of your family. Of course, so long as you don't resist, it'll be done very quickly, and you all should be home in time to prepare dinner. I hope that isn't a problem for you? If you wish, I will personally oversee that you and your family aren't mistreated. The safety of my village is my first and foremost concern, and it would be a shame if we had a sleeper agent in our midst to try and bring ruin to my village, but at the same time, I will not stand for my villagers to be mistreated. So long as you are cooperating, everything will be smooth, quick and painless, and you can then live worry free within our village not having to worry about hiding the blood that runs through your veins."

Meeting with the Hokage Empty
PostSubject: Re: Meeting with the Hokage   Meeting with the Hokage I_icon_minitimeSun Oct 09, 2016 4:20 am

Now it was Sophia's turn to have her eyes widen while Seresana's expression relaxed somewhat as the Hokage replied. Before the Hokage turned her eyes towards Seresana and began complimenting her, Sophia nodded in acceptance and understanding of the Hokage's words. As the Hokage addressed Seresana, the far younger girl hesitantly and nervously grinned a little embarrassed by the praise. Then finally came the fact that not only Sophia, but the entire family would need to be brought in for something of an interrogation. Sophia, who'd for the most part managed to keep a very neutral expression through most of this talk, finally looked to be on the verge of outright panic, and the reassurances only did so much to disperse this strained expression. After a few seconds though, Sophia let loose the breath she'd involuntarily started holding and seemed to relax, though whether this was because of actually relaxing and trusting the Hokage's words, or if it was from accepting that there wasn't really a way out at this point would remain an uncertainty. "Of course lady Hokage," Sophia finally started, "I will not resist in any fashion." After her admission, Sophia looked back towards her daughter, the look seeming to snap the younger girl back to reality.

"Oh, yes I will not resist either," Seresana said as well with a bow to the Hokage. "But what about dad and Hitage?"

"Lady Hokage will probably send out some one to fetch them sweetie," Sophia said as she took up standing next to her daughter. "That said, I believe we're ready to begin whenever you are lady Hokage," Sophia said as she cast her eyes back towards the woman who'd just eased years upon years of nerves.

The Hokage would smile and nod her head hearing that they wouldn't resist. "Well it won't take place today, but tomorrow. I'll have everyone here prepped and ready for it, I wouldn't want to interrupt any daily on goings, plus having shinobi's suddenly spring up on your loved ones wouldn't look good and pose a high probability of the other two resisting. So it'll take place tomorrow, you can head home and speak with your family and have them prepared for it. I will arrive with several other shinobi's to escort you all to our destination. Of course, once we pick you all up, you all will be blind folded as we bring you to our interrogation center, for obvious reasons, but I will assure you again, you will be safe, and so will your family, so long as resistance isn't given, it'll only feel awkward having to be blind folded through the hole process, but no injury will come to you or your family. That I give you my word."

Sophia nodded in acceptance of these conditions, and then motioned for Seresana to follow suit. After the young girl had bowed, Sophia said, "thank you lady hokage, and with this grace I shall take leave to inform my husband of the situation." Sophia then bowed again and began to escort the still silent and likely still somewhat shocked Seresana out of the room. The two would then turn and leave the building entirely in thoughtful silence as Seresana tried to think of the first questions to ask while Sophia just waited patiently for the questions to come.
