Chapter 1x3: Danger Zone

" Val! Val! Help! "

Running through the streets mid day was a young girl with black hair and Pink strands. Her outfit was quite different than normal, being now a Black shorts and a Pink Top. There was Panic in her voice, and tears slowly traveling down her face. Her expression would easily give someone the impression that it was a life and death situations. There were few people in the streets, and while she could have ran to someone far more capable, she ran to the individual she was comfortable with. When she arrived to Val's Foster Parents house, Lily began bamming hard on the door, calling out his name. Val was in the house, reflecting on the time he protected his Mother from that water Creature. His hands was underneath his head while he laid in his bed staring at the ceiling. Being upstairs, the knocks completely escaped his ears. The event with his mother was one he had yet to tell anyone, though even if he did, not many would believe him, which was okay because he didn't care too much about individuals believing him. Holding his hand outwards, he reflected on how in said pitch, he was able to Tap into his clans abilities. The one used at the time was amazing for him. It made him feel a great deal stronger, and that feeling remained with him, almost as if he retained the know how to the ability itself. While he couldnt hear the knocks and yells, his Foster Parents did, making their way to the door and opening it rather quickly. " Dear child what happened? ".

" Is Val Home!? I need him "

The Foster Parents nodded before heading back in and half way up the Stairs. " Val! Your Friend is here! and she needs you ". Getting up out of the bed quickly, The Yuki rushed his way down stairs and to the door. Immediately upon looking at Lily's face, he knew that nothing good was to come from the words that was to be spoken. From her Panting he knew off the bat that she ran here, and therefore Time was of the essence. Taking a step outside of the door, Val closed the door behind him to kind of block the convesation to reaching the ears of those inside.

" What's happened ? "

Lily couldn't stop her crying, and that in itself made it quite difficult for her to get the words out. He placed his hand on her shoulder as to try and steady her, as well as to get her to understand that she needed to calm down. Lily looked into Val's eyes while attempting to wipe her own. It took a moment before she could actually contain herself enough to explain the predicament that had occured.

" Zhael's in Danger! He's Trapped and Im not strong enough to help him. Please Help him! ".

She Pleaded her eyes out, which completely threw Val off. As long as he has known the two, they were at each others necks, though he dont know what happened to cause that. He didnt know anything about them Prior to him being in Konoha, and even though its understandable that a person wouldnt want to see someone they know hurt, this reaction gave hints that there was something far much deeper than what have been revealed to him. Nonetheless Yuki took on the Task to save Zhael in whatever trouble he was in.  

Val Simply nodded in agreement to help his friend, which caused Lily to smile through her tears. There really wasn't much doubt that val was going to help Zhael out of this situation, but to see him agree to do so just brought all that much joy back, and even Hope. Since Val had no idea where the hell Zhael was, Lily would take the lead in the dash to rescue Zhael. Once Lily turned around and took off, Val pushed forwards, following right behind her. There was a few things that he didn't understand, like if Zhael was in such dangers, why didn't she go out and get someone far more capable ? She could have enlisted the aid of an Genin, a Chuunin, or even a Jounin, but no she went straight for Val who wasn't even a Genin. It was an ego stroking thought that followed with questioning her motives. Maybe she considered him to be far more capable than the other individuals around, or maybe she possessed a secret crush on him, and couldn't bring herself to ask anyone else but him. It could also be something more suiting like they were doing something that they had no freaking business doing, and that if they let someone else know then they would get in so much trouble, and even kicked out of the Academy. That seems to be more close to it than anything else that processed in his head, and so Val would slowly close the distance between Lily and himself. His head turned to her with a somewhat serious expression, looking as if he wanted an explanation. Lily, like Zhael before, was able to pick this up from Val and knew that she had no choice but to explain herself. Running side by side, Lily lowered her head slightly in shame before she began explaining herself.

" Me and Zhael, we go back much further than our time at the academy...We go at it a lot because he's an idiot..but deep down I really care about him. We've been friends for as long as I can remember. Both of our Parents are lifelong friends and so its like it was meant for us to be together. He was always doing very stupid stuff, almost as if he had something to Prove to the world...to Prove to me, and I always nailed him for it because I always felt like one day he was going to get himself so deep into shit that he wouldn't be able to get himself out. Me and Zhael kind of overheard a bunch of people talking about the Chuunin Exams which can only be taken by Genin who have had enough experience under their belt, and During the exams they send the Genin into what is known as the forest of Death. It's quite obvious what went through this genius head...He figured he was soooo awesome that he didn't need to be a Genin to go in there. I tried my best to convince him not to go, but the Knuckle head went in anyways. Its forbidden to go in there, but within the large Gates, He found a hole that he could fit through. At first I refused to go in after him because I knew if we got caught, we'll most likely be kicked out of the Academy...and it's dreams of our Parents that we become Ninjas. After waiting awhile, I got really worried and I went in after him because I knew that it wasn't going to end well if I left the idiot all alone. When I got in there and made it to his Location, he was carving something into the Tree...Zhael was here, and the year. I again pleaded with him to return, but right as we got ready to head back, something really huge traveled above us, causing branched to fall. One of the smaller branches fell on Zhael and have him Pinned due to the Size of the trees there. He was really hurt and I just freaked out...running away to get you ".

Val nodded, showing he understood the situation now. Not only was there the threat of Zhael recieving more injuries from being Pinned, but there was the ever bigger loaming threat of the beasts that resided in the Forests of Death. Out of all the Stupid stuff that Val has known Zhael to do, this by far easily topped everything. The deed was done, and could only be brought to his attention once he was saved. It wouldn't be too long before the two arrived at the access point of the Forest, making their way through the little hole and into the Danger Zone. They spared no moment in getting to Zhael's location, and as they did, shock would overtake Lily upon seeing a bear over the Branch that Pinned Zhael. The worst thing about being in a rush to an unknown situation was that it left one unprepared. Val's Shurikens and Kunai's was back at the house, so he didn't have weapons to fend off the bear. Bringing both of his hands together, the Yuki began to freeze the water molecules in the air above the Bear, Forming  3 Ice needles, which would propel down into the back of the bear's neck, causing it to get off of Zhael and motion away a bit.  While the bear was in Pain and trying to claw the needles out, both Val and Lily would lift the huge branch off of Zhael in one joint effort. Lily Lifted the Injured academy student onto her back utilizing all her strength, and began making a rush towards the Exit. Val followed right behind, making sure to try to cover them to the best of his abilities. Once the bear got the needles out, it gave chase to them, quickly closing in on them as they neared the Exit. Looking back at the Bear, and ahead to the Exit, Val knew that they may not make it, also giving the size of the hole. The Bear would just continued to pursue them pass the gate due to the whole, unless they managed somehow to seal it. Thinking hard, Val thought about his Clan abilities, and how it was essentially manipulating the water Molecules to freeze and give shape. Ideally, he could create something to Seal the hole. Once Lily and Zhael made it to the hole and exited the Forest, Val made hand seals to one of the Techniques explained to him before. The determination in his eyes was real, and as he drew closer, Ice began to form from above the hole of the gate and began making its way to the ground, being a dome arched diagonally away from it. As it began forming quickly, Val dived through the middle before it could close completely, causing the Bear to ram into nothing but a fully formed Ice Dome. Panting, Val would lay down on the ground, wiping the sweat from his head. They all had made it out alive.
