Iku was spending her time much more productively. While her current companion deciding to splash about like some goose, the Uchiha was using this time to further herself. Progression was always better than regression. And lazing about like Seresana was doing upon her back, was the definition of 'lazing about'. Frankly it irritated Iku. Why was Seresana being so lackadaisical? Where was her passion? Where was her drive? The girl's focus was in the clouds -literally. That type of attitude was poisonous to Iku, who wanted to persevere, instead of relax.

When she emerged, for the 'nth' time, she was purple-red in the face, and she found herself splashing to the shore, gripping at it, pulling her head up out of the water. Eyes closed, she clutched some grass, and panted hard, her chest heavily struggling to pull air into her lungs. Opening a single eye, she glanced over to Seresana. Her vision was blurry, and she felt lightheaded. "W-what? A-are y-you that weak? Done already?" she inquired. "Where is your passion? No. I want to continue training. You may leave if its your wish."

Seresana's grin faltered at the almost harsh reply Iku gave. She turned over and swam about still nearby with a concerned expression when she noticed how hard Iku was pushing herself. "There is such a thing as pushing yourself too hard Iku," Seresana warned as she maintained her position in the current. "You can actually do more harm than good," she went on while swimming. It wasn't as if she was a stranger to training, and training hard. She recalled the when she'd shot her bow so many times that her fingers had started to bleed, and then she had to wait a couple days before she could even try shooting again and by then, she'd lost more practice time than if she'd just taken a brake.

"If you really want to continue training though, why don't you try something else for a little bit," Seresana suggested as she too swam over towards the shore and coming up next to Iku. "How about," Seresana paused as she looked about the area for something to assist in Iku's attempt to train at every chance. "Oh, what about training your balance for a bit?" Seresana suggested when her eyes finally fell on the bridge, or more specifically the posts that occurred at regular intervals along it. "You could practice on one of those and then even if you fall, all that happens is you hit the water... well half the time anyways," Seresana went on while looking back to Iku to see her reaction.

Iku's ears would have fallen back, if she had been a cat, at Seresana's words. Words that had painfully caused her level of annoyance to raise. 'Pushing yourself too hard'? That sounded merely like fluff that someone would spout without knowledge on their part. With cold eyes sharp with anger, Iku refuted, "That sounds like the words of a coward. Someone who gives up to easily."

Getting up, and pulling herself out of the haughty clutches of the water, Iku righted herself on the bank, water dripping from her, and making the small amount of clothes upon her cling tightly. When Seresana suggested another manner of training, Iku's dark eyes followed the other girl's suggestion, over to the bridge. With a smirk, Iku responded, "Balance and agility are my specialty." That was Iku's way of agreeing. She got to her feet, still dripping, and walked over. With a stable, healthy amount of training, in the hot sun, she would dry off quickly. Instantly, Iku leaped up onto a pole, catching it underfoot, with one foot. Quickly, she continued her momentum forward, in a cartwheel, catching another one of the posts with her hand; palm laid flat. She continued forward, to allow her other hand to connect. Right after, her momentum carried her forward, and once again her foot found the next post.

Seresana's expression turned strained again at Iku's hard remarks toward's her simple concerns, but didn't say anything over it. She didn't want to start an argument over the matter with Iku, Seresana was just expressing a little concern over her... friend? Seresana didn't think she had any trouble using the word and backing up the meanings behind it, but she wasn't sure if Iku felt quite the same, or even liked her for that matter. Still, that didn't mean Seresana wanted to see Iku hurt herself in the act of training too hard.

That's why when Iku pulled herself up and out of the water, Seresana let out a relaxed sigh as it meant that she wasn't going to be pushing herself under the waters for a little while. Then Seresana watched as Iku began to move about the tops of the support posts for the bridge. Her eyes were wide and observant and as Iku moved out across the bridge, Seresana swam back out into the stream to at least make an attempt at keeping up. Obviously though, Seresana fell behind when she went to go through water while Iku jumped about, but she was out in the middle of the stream soon enough. Lightly fighting the current to keep her position as Iku drove herself to practice more.

As Iku practiced up upon the posts that dotted the side of the bridge, she felt her strength waning. At first it was easy. Flipping, and balancing, stuff she had practiced before, and the change of pace from the swimming and breathing exercises was nice. Not that her current workout didn't require breath control, but it wasn't quite the same. However, after a few complex motions. Or motions Iku considered complex, she began to tire out. The former training was beginning to catch up to her. Even the previous meal wasn't helping anymore. Had she already burned the nutrients the meal had given her? Possibly. Still nothing would deter her. Even if her arms began to ache, and her legs began to act slightly out of unison, she would push onward. Nothing like pushing oneself, to gain something from training. Something that Seresana didn't seem to understand.

Finally, she rotated once more, and dropped to the wooden planks of the bridge with a loud thunk, where her bare feet connected. Breathing heavily, with sweat now on her brow, as opposed to water from before, Iku stood there, tired, and winded. She figured she had practiced enough with her agility and balance, and a break was in order. Walking a little bit, the young Uchiha, leaned forward, and her hand found the ground, before she turned, and sat down. A weary look had found its way to her usual stern face. This break was long in coming that day, and Iku suspected a few hours had passed, since the two had eaten. Iku couldn't even remember if much had been spoken between them. What had Seresana even been doing this entire time? Iku hadn't been paying much attention to be honest.

Seresana had been doing a number of her own things while Iku practiced up on the posts for the bridge. At first though, all she'd done was watch the other ninja practice running, jumping, and doing the occasional other trick to get across the bridge's poles while Seresana herself had just continued to swim on her back to maintain her position in the river. That however got old rather quick and Seresana soon found herself kind of bored just half floating and half swimming while watching Iku run back and forth across some wooden posts.

Deciding to go about some other activities, Seresana swam back over to shore and slowly climbed out of the cool and comforting waters. While she wasn't trying to be overly quiet with the act, Iku had been too wrapped up in her training to even notice her change in position, and had simply carried on with her training. Seresana then looked about her scattered supplies in the area, and decided that she would try to find some other things for them to do when Iku finished training. The first option to appear would be the fishing poles, but Iku hadn't shown much interest in that and so that option was obviously out. Then there was the remnants of the fire and Seresana's cooking supplies, but that didn't really provide any interesting activities either since the food was already eaten and the fire was more or less burnt down to the point of embers. That however did give Seresana something to do and she got to work packing back up the unused supplies and drenching the embers with water to make sure they were completely out.

With the cooking supplies and fire taken care of though, Seresana once more looked around for things to do that they both could enjoy. Her eyes fell on her clothes next, and Seresana thought for a moment on whether or not she'd be doing any more swimming. Deciding that she'd actually done enough for the day and she didn't want to see Iku push herself even farther after pushing herself so far already, so Seresana picked back up her shirt and pants and donned them again. Now clothed, Seresana went back to looking for things to do, but was still coming up short on ideas. There was always the option of letting Iku decide on their next activity, but all Iku seemed to want to do was train. While Seresana was no stranger to training, she didn't want to do it all the time, every time.

Shaking her head to dismiss these thoughts about the other girl, Seresana got back to the task of trying to find something for them to do. Unable to decide on an activity, Seresana simply once more took a seat and sat back to watch Iku train. Once Iku had finished, Seresana waved Iku over with a grin. "That looked like it went well, is there anything you want to do now?" Seresana then asked.

Iku walked over, her chest heaving quite substantially. She had quickly dried off, simply being in the heat of action, with the sun overhead blaring down its own version of heat upon her. Despite that though, the girl was nearly soaked. Not quite the same type of "soaked" as she got from swimming around in the cool stream waters beside them. But the type of soaked, when one was completely, head-to-toe drenched in sweat. With a quick gasp of air, she held up a hand, one finger pointing up. Meaning, 'hold on, wait'.

She snatched up a cup of water, that had been sitting beside the fire, that was now put out she noticed. Her cup from lunch that seemed like hours before. She brought it to her lips, and let the liquid drain into her, and down her throat. Her cup had been near empty, so the water was meager, but it did the job fine. Now for a feel of refreshment. Iku felt quite icky. Which was unusual for her to care, but at that time she did. Quickly, after her drink, she sprinted, and leaped, plopping into the stream with a small splash. Small considering the young girl's size and weight, and how it would impact the waters.

Now appropriately, and adequately refreshed, Iku once again stepped out onto the shore, coming up to stand beside Seresana. Only then did Iku really notice her. She had gotten dressed, and appeared to be quite dry. She seemed to have been waiting awhile. Iku thought momentarily that that was odd. Why would Seresana wait on her? Then the question -and only then- registered. Seresana had been expecting something else of the Uchiha. Confusion set in, and her eyes glanced up, while her eyebrows furrowed in contemplation. To be honest, Iku could continue training, despite being so worn. Finding her momentary-lost voice, the girl spoke up, not at all sounding the least bit interested in anything; as was her usual fashion of speak. "I could go for more training. Both the swimming and the post-jaunting were quite useful and provided their own form of unique exercise. I appreciate the opportunity for these type of practices. Hm. I usually take to beating up some of the dummy posts in the Uchiha side of town. Though..."

She downcast her dark eyes. "It does not appear that that is what you meant. Hm. While I don't particularly care about pleasing you, I do suppose I owe you a little bit for this morning and afternoon's excursion. Not to mention the food." Iku was not exactly dutiful, and she did not care about seeming to be noble, but she did have her own way of doing things, and her own 'code' so to speak. Never would she say she actually owed anyone anything. This was more pleasantry than an actual feeling of obligation. "In that case... We could walk through the woods? Seems simplistic enough to warrant some amount amusement. If you care about such things." Iku offered quaintly. A walk through the woods? Seemed rather sentimental. Not exactly Iku's expertise.

Seresana just chuckled lightly at Iku's first statement about the want for more training as well as the analysis of her training. That hadn't surprised her at all as Iku wanting to train was starting to become a rather expected. The thanks had been a little bit of a surprise though and to it, Seresana nodded in acceptance of the gesture. Now when Iku actually admitted to being willing to do something that wasn't directly related to training, that had caught Seresana off-guard and her smile faltered. She opened her mouth to speak, but then Iku went on and Seresana sat back and continued to listen until she'd finished and left the open suggestion of just going on a walk through the woods. More still that left Seresana surprised, but with the second one coming so shortly after the first, she was better prepared for it and was able to hide the majority of her shock at the suggestion of just a simple walk through the woods.

"Oh, that sounds like it'd be really nice Iku," Seresana finally replied as she looked towards the sky, lifting a hand to shield her eyes from the bright sunlight as she did so. "And all that shade will help keep us cool on such a hot day," Seresana went on as she got up and shrugged on her backpack. Then Seresana wandered over towards the two poles and picked them up as well as the bait box before walking back over to Iku. "There I think that's everything I needed, and umm... would you mind if we walked that way first?" Seresana asked with a point towards the woods, well off the path. "My home's in that direction and I think I'd like to drop this stuff off before we really get to walking that far," Seresana went on while already starting to take the first tentative steps in that direction.

Iku waited for Seresana to gather her remaining stuff, and get ready to depart. Overall it wasn't a huge issue to wait. When the other girl suggested a specific route, Iku merely shrugged. It wasn't like she had had a route picked out herself, or any set intentions. With that, it seemed like they were off, and Iku began following after Seresana, as they headed off towards the younger girl's home. As they walked Iku once again noticed the heat of the day, and began to wonder if she had missed an opportunity. Her body longed to leap back into the stream. Feel more of that refreshing water that she had felt earlier. Glancing over her shoulder as they departed, the stream was already vanishing in the distance, as trees instead rose up to meet her.

Feeling slightly dejected, Iku turned back around, ignoring her feeling of wanting to go swimming again. They were already well on their way. No need to make any noise about it. Walking in tandem, and slightly behind Seresana, Iku's eyes observed the woods. She momentarily wondered if she could see more. Momentarily she activated her Sharingan, and scanned the dense forest. Immediately she spotted movement, where before she had seen none. She had hypothesized this was going on, but was still slightly surprised by just how much she had previously been missing. Her Sharingan was new, so she still could not exactly make out everything. Still, she could now see rabbits and mice scurrying along the forest floor, disappearing finally from sight under bushes. Even while those rodents disappeared from her gaze, Iku's eyes still mapped out some of the supposed paths they would take.

She saw other movement as well. Birds high up in the trees. Other animals, and even bugs moving at their own pace quite a distance away. Nothing was in the immediate area. For two humans walking tended to cause animals to run and hide in fright. It was fascinating really. Seeing more than one new. She vaguely wondered just how much she would see, if she were instead using the Byakugan of the Hyuga clan.

Seresana took to leading Iku with purpose, yet whimsy by the way she strolled through the underbrush and foliage. Her arms swung lazily back and forth despite one carrying the two poles and the other carrying the tackle box, and there was a bounce in her step despite the heavy backpack still relatively fully of supplies. Even with the whimsical attitude though, it was obvious that Seresana either knew exactly where they were going or had no care by the way she proceeded straight through the woods without veering or changing direction. In truth, Seresana did know these woods fairly well, she'd been playing in them ever since she was little, and therefore knew most of the little paths, and where she was going even when there were no paths.

Just a short ways into the walk, Seresana started to hum a little tune. A strange little melody that held an almost melancholic yet happily calming feel to it. It was also a slower piece, something that seemed almost out of place when one looked at the usually cheerful and upbeat youth that was Seresana.

Before she could finish it though, a building came into view through the trees. A larger structure, and designed like one of the older styled, traditional houses with a second story and several rooms. The walls were mostly white, with green borders and frame work and wtih dark blue tiles to make up the steeply sloping roof. Numerous ornaments and decorations littered the structure and the rather large yard that surrounded the building. And all of this was just a little bit outside the immediate walls that surrounded most of the village. Free from the forest now, Seresana looked back over her shoulder towards Iku and smiled. "Here's where I live, I'll be right back," she said before turning back around and running up to the large structure that rather blatantly dwarfed the comparatively tiny Seresana. It didn't take her long to cross the expanse of yard and hop up on the roofed porch that wrapped around an unknown amount of the structure, and disappear behind on of the sliding doors. Seconds later, she reappeared back out through the same spot, though this time not laden down with all the fishing gear. Seresana ran back over to Iku, still smiling happily. "Alright, I'm ready to go walking. Oh, do you want to see my special training spot?" she suddenly asked excitedly.

Iku did not share in the pep that seemed to course through Seresana's veins. It was a thing that the Uchiha girl did not understand. She merely followed, quite silently. She had long ago released her Sharingan. Observing what couldn't normally be seen was interesting, but this was not a day for research in such matters. Though she would definitely be back to learn all she could. If only she had a Byakugan... Then she could really observe. That thought began to stick at the back of her mind. Only absentmindedly did she think about it though. For now, she plodded on behind Seresana, conserving her own energy.

After Seresana decided to start humming, Iku found herself getting annoyed. The incessant movements and lackluster tune from the girl were grating on Iku's nerves, but aside from a few involuntary twitches upon her stern face, nothing else revealed her misgivings.

It didn't take long for them to reach her house after she started humming. Thankfully. Iku glanced up at the big building, and noticed its architecture. Nothing in the Uchiha side of Konoha looked like this older styled building. Uchiha architecture was old. Steeply routed in Uchiha tradition, but it still did not look anywhere near the same. This wasn't the thing she really noticed however. She noticed just how different it was than to her own home. A small little pathetic shack, that no one ever came around to. Most adamantly avoided it, by walking in wide berths. Not that she particularly cared.

"Special training spot?" Iku's voice piped up; interest for once piquing. Anything about training, was basically music to Iku's ears. Even learning more about this person could eventually come in handy. With a grin spreading over her lips, she realized it wouldn't be so special anymore, once it was revealed to a stranger. Iku enjoyed the fact she would know something 'special' about another. She would have to learn more secrets about other people in the future. Perhaps conversation would make others open up to revealing themselves.

Not that that affected Seresana at all. She just opened up on her own accord. Silly girl. It was almost too easy.

With a noncommittal shrug, and a nod of her head, lips still grinning, Iku said, "Sure, what could hurt?"

Seresana smiled widely at the agreement. "Alright!" she cheered with a little jump before turning about to take the lead once more as they were to depart back into the woods again. It was a relatively short walk, and thankfully a cool one thanks to the abundance of trees and shade overhead. Seresana didn't bother with humming this time, instead she seemed content to talk. "My dad's family actually built our house over the years. It's supposed to have been in the family for a long time. He also actually showed me this training spot. It's not really fancy, but I like it a lot. I practice there all the time because it's not only close to the house, but the river's also close by so when I'm done training I can always go for a swim. Or if I need to, I can usually find good rocks there too," Seresana went on as she walked along with Iku. Even if the conversation didn't interest Iku, it was serving the purpose of killing time and making the walk seemingly go faster.

"Ah, here we are," Seresana proclaimed with a little smile and a small jog into the little clearing they'd come to. In truth, there wasn't a whole lot to the scene. A small clearing where the sun shone uninhibited on the grass through a gap in the canopy. There was but a single, very large tree stump close to the center of the area, and it stood about a foot taller than Seresana herself. The stump was also over 3 feet in diameter, making it's berth impressive. All over the stump were nicks, cuts, gashes, grooves, holes, and chips obviously from numerous hours spent striking the surface with several different kinds of things. There were two more things on the stump, one of which was a paper target that was fairly mangled and riddled with holes and cuts from more time spent practicing. The other thing was a thick cord of rope loosely wrapped around the base of the stump and tied off with a simple knot.

Seresana however didn't rush up towards the stump, instead she rushed over towards one of the trees off to the side that the target was facing. She bent down and seemed to pick up something, and when she turned back to Iku, she'd be able to see the very rough stick bow held in Seresana's hands. The improvised weapon didn't look particularly impressive in any aspect aside from possibly it's size, as the large weapon stood nearly as tall as Seresana if it's end had rested on ground. There was also now a quiver resting on her around the waist with a number of rather rough looking stick arrows sticking out of the end of it. "See, I come here to practice my archery mostly, but it works for general practice too," Seresana went on. Say, would you be up for some training for the both of us?"

"I've gotten pretty good at hitting the stump over there," Seresana stated with a point towards said stump, and let the many holes serve as proof, especially the abundance of holes in the actual target section of the paper. "But it doesn't move. These arrows don't have heads yet," Seresana went on before pulling out one of the arrows even to show the fact that it was indeed, just a blunt stick for the moment. "So I could get in some more practice trying to hit a moving target, and you could work on blocking or dodging the shots since they shouldn't hurt much if any," Seresana went on to complete her suggestion. "Unfortunately, I don't have any of the padded arrows like Ranzaki sensei, but this bow's a lot less powerful than his, so it should be fairly safe to practice the same way he trains me."

Iku followed along, yet again. It seemed she was content to walk after, and listen to Seresana. Iku either was either very compliant, or more mellow than most. As the other girl chittered on, the Uchiha scanned the woods. This time without her Sharingan. She peered hard into the dense, shadowed undergrowth, hoping to spot any movement. She thought maybe she saw something push a bush around, but she couldn't be sure. Ugh. It annoyed her just how different regular sight was, from the sight of the Sharingan. Iku loved her eye-jutsu. A very special Kekkei Genkai of her clan. She treasured it. That did not mean she wanted to be reliant totally on it.

It didn't take long for them to reach the clearing. Admittedly -aside from the stump- it looked like any other clearing. It didn't even look any better than anything Iku frequented. Not that she spoke up about this. Seresana seemed particularly pleased with this place. Wait. What? Archery?

Clearly befuddled, Iku spoke up, "Archery? Why do you practice Archery?" To her it seemed much to clunky. "Why not just... you know? Throw?" she asked, quickly pulling out a shuriken, and swiping it through the air. It flew quickly, spinning at high speeds, before it sunk into the stump with a thunk. "Who? Who is Ranzaki-sensei?" she asked. Seresana spoke as if Iku knew who she was talking about.

After hearing the idea, Iku was all for it. "Why are the arrows you're going to use so pathetic? How is it training when it's half-assed?" she asked. "Still, I like this idea. Yes, let's practice in this way." She began moving out into the clearing. She could not wait to practice her maneuverability. It was not often she would be able to train against something a little more real.

"Because it's effective and fun," Seresana commented as she started to walk in the opposite direction, to increase the space between them a little bit more. "It's also a little longer range and more powerful," Seresana went on as she turned about and in one fluid motion, drew the first arrow. Setting the projectile to the string, Seresana looked up to regard her opponent. "Plus my dad shoots, he was the one who first showed me," she spoke while raising the weapon and drawing the arrow back, eliciting a few creaks from the already taunt wood of the bow as the string that bound it was pulled back. "As for who Ranzaki-sensei is, well, he's my sensei," Seresana spoke as she released the arrow which launched cleanly at Iku. Despite the crudeness of the arrow and bow, the arrow itself was still flying right at Iku's chest and with a surprising amount of speed that gave plenty hint towards the limited power of the weapon.

Seresana however figured she'd have to do far more than that if she wanted to actually pose a challenge to Iku, so with the same fluid motion, she drew the next arrow, set it to the string, and drew it back as the first arrow was still in transit. "He's an old man, who used to be a shinobi," Seresana added before releasing this second arrow that was aimed at Iku's stomach, and moved to draw the third, still speaking as she did so. "And these arrows are the ones I've made myself. The ones at the market are too expensive, and I don't have all the tools needed to make the good ones," she stopped speaking there for just a minute to release the next arrow, the third to already be shot at Iku, though the first one will have likely reached her by this point and so the third arrows trajectory was adjusted to be at Iku's chest even if she'd moved to dodge either of the first two arrows. "Plus, if you think about it, this kind of training is actually harder," she added as a last point while reaching for the next arrow.

Iku was unconvinced. She did not understand the use of the makeshift weapon. As it seemed inferior in every way to a fully-readied bow. Not to mention bows in general seemed far less effective than just not using them. Many shinobi did not use bows for this very reason. In truth, Iku didn't even realize bows were ever used by shinobi.

Deftly dodging the first arrow, Iku spoke up, "I predict I can throw shuriken easier, and with much better accuracy then you can shoot that bow." The second arrow whizzed by her, knicking a few dark hairs off the side of her, as she turned away. By this time a third arrow was knocked and loosed. To emphasize her point, Iku quickly tossed out two shuriken, the first connecting with the third arrow head on, with a metallic 'chink'; diverting its course. Her second shuriken had been thrown at the adapted course, and quite quickly sliced the wooden, makeshift arrow in half. "See? The effort required to loose two arrows in such a manner is just more simply and quickly done."

Iku stared down Seresana, daring her to fire more of her arrows. "You have a sensei?" the Uchiha went on. That was a different topic. One that she found herself being jealous of. Not that Iku suspected she'd work well with a sensei, but learning probably came easier, and quicker with one. Much like using shuriken, knives, and other such bladed instruments over arrows. It just took too much time to withdraw an arrow, knock it, aim, and lead a shot. Where as your hands could quickly interpret your mind and make the attacks much faster.

"Hehe, maybe you're right Iku, but I still like my archery. And I always thought that if I could get good using such a weaker bow, then when I finally got a good one, I'll be much better using it because I'll have gotten so good on the worse version," Seresana pointed out as she released her next arrow, then quickly followed with another, and then a third arrow at Iku. All three arrows were flying toward's Iku's center, traveling well enough and remaining true to their marks. The fourth arrow hadn't been released yet, but it was still knocked to the string and readied to be fired in a moments notice.

"Kind of like training with training weights, they make you run slower and everything harder, but when you eventually take them off to practice, you're much faster and stronger. It's a... um..." Seresana stumbled in her talking for a moment as she tried to think of the word, and releasing the fourth arrow as she did so. Only a moment after it left her grasp did her face light up with realization. "Oh, a handicap!" she exclaimed as the word finally jumped to her mind. "And yeah, I've got a sensei," Seresana reaffirmed, a little confused as to why she had to repeat it. Is it really so hard to believe I've got a sensei? Hmm... maybe it is, I don't think I've heard of any of the other students getting one... Seresana thought to herself as she absently drew the next arrow to be fired from her bow. "Oh, would you want to see something he taught me?" Seresana asked as she began to draw back the next arrow, but she didn't release the projectile just yet.

Iku felt like she was right. Iku was one of those people that assumed they were basically always right, even if they weren't. She didn't really press it though. If this girl wanted to fight with archery, that was her problem, or decision, or whichever. It still seemed like a weakened way of fighting. Not to mention, using a bad bow to train would mean the moment she picked up a good bow, she would realize they were not the same, and she'd have to get used to it, and learn how to use a good bow. Again, Iku didn't press her thoughts though, and merely said. "I see..." She did somewhat understand using a handicap. The idea behind it was to make yourself stronger, than someone who did not use that handicap. Perhaps Iku would look more into this style of training. Meanwhile, she turned and spun her body, through the middle of the arrows. To her surprise she felt a sharp pain. She had miscalculated, and one of the arrows had cut through the side of her arm.

Landing on a knee and her extended hands, after her dodge-spin, she winced. Standing up she observed her arm. Red was leaking down, and staining her now-ripped white cloak. The pain wasn't too bad, and upon further inspection, the cut wasn't too deep. It had been a shock that she had got nicked. She definitely needed more training on dodging.

Seresana continued to hesitate on the drawn projectile as Iku suddenly dropped to a knee. Slowly, she eased the tension on her bow until she could safely remove the arrow and store it back in her quiver. When Seresana caught the sight of blood though, she all but dropped her bow to the ground in shock. "I didn't think the bow was powerful enough to draw blood. Maybe, oh, the arrow, it must have had a sharp point to it's end. Oh no, I can't believe I was so careless with these arrows. I'm going to have to have Ranzaki sensei teach me how to make those padded arrows if we're going to try this anymore, I mean I'm sure Iku doesn't want to continue this kind of training until I get them after all... Oh, Iku, I need to make sure she's alright!" Seresana snapped herself out of her inner monologue with a quick shake of her head.

"Oh my gosh, Iku, are you alright," Seresana called as she strode over to get a better look at the wound as her expression plummeted into sorrow. "I'm so sorry Iku, so so sorry," she went on as her hands hovered about the wound, afraid to touch it as she hadn't gotten to the medical training portion of classes yet and she didn't want to make it any worse, especially when she was the one to cause the injury in the first place. "Does it hurt? Should we go back? We've got medical supplies back at my house, we can go get some and bandage that up real quick so you're not bleeding anymore," Seresana said quickly as she was still obviously panicking a bit.

Iku was still inspecting her arm, as Seresana came over. In truth, the girl was ready to continue the training. Seresana's reaction was shocking to Iku. It was also a bit annoying. Iku ripped through the cut part of her cloak. A hand dipped into one of her pockets, and she pulled out a swab. Dabbing some medication over the open, bleeding cut, Iku quickly wrapped the ripped piece of her cloak around her arm. She tied it and looked at Seresana.

"Stop your dithering," Iku said brusquely. "Let's continue. It was my fault for being so careless. It's fine. Draw your bow, and fire once again." Her voice hinted at her anger for Seresana's pitiful display. Iku did not care much for that type of attitude, and it basically showed. Though Iku's face was still rather static, so Seresana might look passed that and not see the irritation prickling from Iku.

Seresana was still fretting over the wound until Iku dabbed at it with the medication and bound it with a torn piece of her cloak. She watched these acts curiously and thought to herself about them. "Wow, Iku's pretty resourceful having that medicine on her like that. I should probably look into getting some myself sometime soon. I think we'll be starting the basic medical training soon enough and it'd probably help to have some of the supplies on hand already," Seresana thought to herself as Iku worked, and snapping out of it when she voiced her desire to continue with the training session. "Oh umm.. i-if you're sure Iku," Seresana said hesitantly.

Her hesitation carried on as she walked back over to her discarded bow and picked back up the weapon. She gave it an experimental tug before drawing any arrows to make sure it hadn't been damaged at all from the harsh discard the bow had been subject to. When the string held firm and the wood showed no signs of weakness, Seresana turned back to face Iku, drew the first arrow and then waited for her to properly stand again to show she was ready for the training to continue. "Looks like it was a good thing I didn't try to fully replicate Ranzaki's training method, otherwise there'd probably be more cuts and bruises on her. Still though, I'd better be ready, if I know Iku, she'll want to get right back to training just as hard if not harder than we just were," Seresana thought to herself while she waited. And so as soon as Iku was standing up straight, Seresana raised her bow and drew back the shot. Releasing it not even a second later, Seresana wasted no time in drawing a second and third arrow, releasing each of those as quickly as she could while still maintaining the quality of her aim.

Iku stared at Seresana from the moment she settled down, from her walk back, to the time when she picked back up her bow, and knocked an arrow into the string. The young Uchiha girl stood ready; prepared for another round of training. Her arm did have a stinging sensation, but that was just the medicine at work on the cut. Iku lived on her own, and frequently did harsh training sessions. She had learned long ago to make a simple medicinal poultice. She had needed it, seeing as she had had no one else to aid her in times of injury. It wasn't as potent as perhaps it could have been. Or even just visiting the hospital or something, but Iku made due; resourceful as she was.

Standing there, another arrow was loosed. This time Iku was not going to get hurt, and was going to show just how inferior a bow and arrow actually was. Quickly, she flipped and kicked with her heel the first arrow aside. It snapped, as it was made flimsily. Iku paid no mind, assuming Seresana would be fine with that, and would deal with a broken arrow. For the second arrow that was released, not long after the first, Iku whipped out a kunai, and deflected it easily. The third arrow was also deflected, with a simple 'chink' from a quick movement that had followed almost seamlessly from her first two movements. Haughtily, Iku stood there, cloak ripped on her left side, now wrapped around her exposed slender, pale arm, holding in each hand two kunai; looking ever prepared at Seresana, daring her to continue.

Seresana was still hesitant, obviously still a little upset that she'd hurt Iku, but the Uchiha girl stood there at the ready and was obviously still wanting more. And so Seresana obliged by drawing out yet another arrow, though it took a second attempt for her hand to find the projectile and when she looked to her little hand-made quiver, she was a little surprised to already find it only holding a couple other arrows. "Huh, guess I hadn't made as many as I thought. Looks like I've got 4 more after this one and then we'll have to take a moment to gather them back up. Though we'll be at least one short since Iku broke that one, and there will be no telling how many others have broke or just won't be able to be found until we actually go about trying to gather them all back up. And I'll have to probably spend another day or two remaking the lost arrows as well as finishing these ones," Seresana thought to herself as she slowly drew back the arrow.

"Alright, back to the matter at hand. I've got four shots for this flurry including the one that's ready and Iku's always wanting a challenge," Seresana went on as she took her time to aim up the shot a bit more precisely than the others. The bow shifted, ever so slightly, but it would be hard to tell if that was from a wavering hand from when she was upset, or if she was shifting her target. It wasn't long though before she seemed to have found her target and released the first arrow, aimed low and at Iku's stomach. That arrow barely had time to leave the bow before the next arrow was drawn and knocked to the string. It's aim was adjusted slightly to follow after Iku should she try to move out of the way and aimed a little higher so that it would sail toward's the center of Iku's chest. The next arrow was drawn just a little less quickly, but still readied and shot before the prior one could reach Iku, though it was aimed up, in a high arching shot that after a moment spent following it's path, one could see that it would descend right upon Iku's position as that shot was aimed. Then the fourth arrow was drawn, knocked, pulled back and shot at Iku's stomach like the first, though it had the benefit of having the arching shot to hide it. "Hopefully that'll prove to be a little bit of a challenge, a nice finish before a quick break, Seresana thought to herself as she watched to see how Iku would handle this barrage of four arrows.

Iku stood waiting for the arrows to be fired. It took a moment longer than the Uchiha girl had anticipated. It seemed Seresana was stuck in an internal monologue. Which only served to annoy Iku. People's troubles and worries were not Iku's business, and she wished they would leave those behind them if they were to converse with Iku. Obviously this would not be the case, and Iku would instead have to be irritated.

As the arrow flew directly towards her midsection, the small girl brought both kunai down to block. The arrow bounced off the metallic surface, and as it bounced into the air, Iku quickly swiped both kunai through the stick, cutting it into three pieces. The follow up arrows were quick. Just as Iku had wanted them to be. She rolled forward, and two passed right over her head. She found her feet, and barely had time to block the last shot. It barely deflected off to the side, and sunk square into the stump to Iku's back-right.

Iku stood up, breathing heavily. That last bout of arrows was quite intense, and it had happened so quickly. In truth, Iku rather enjoyed that. She felt quite pleased with herself, despite the single wound she had acquired.

While Iku may have wanted the barrage to continue, and while Seresana may have wanted to oblige, the simple fact of the matter that there were no more arrows left in her quiver served to ensure an at least temporary pause in this training method. Slipping an arm through the space between the string and the wood of the weapon, Seresana began to walk towards Iku, or more pointedly, towards the arrows that were around her. "That was pretty good Iku, are you wanting to keep at this?" she asked while getting to work at collecting up what arrows she could recover. She rather quickly found the three Iku'd dealt with in the last flurry, and only paused for a moment when her gaze came to rest on the one she'd decided to destroy. "She didn't have to do that, she'd already managed to deflect the arrow, or maybe that's a hint towards wanting to stop," Seresana mused to herself as she moved on to pick up the other arrows.

"Or we could stop for now and try something else," Seresana added as she bent over to pick up another arrow that Iku'd deflected off to the side. Then she came across the one that had managed to not only hit Iku, but also draw blood and she found herself cringing at the sight of it on the end of the stick. Still in a bit of disbelief that she'd managed to do that with a headless arrow, Seresana slowly stored that arrow in the quiver along with the others she'd managed to gather back up, totaling five for the moment. Just looking about, Seresana could see another 6 arrows, and moved to collect them. Two managed to land in bushes, another three were just laying or implanted into the ground, and then a final one had somehow managed to get stuck up in a tree branch, and Seresana had to jump to collect it, but it was with a minimal amount of effort as the branch wasn't that high off the ground, just really high enough to be out of Seresana's reach when she was just standing upon the ground. Then Seresana would begin the trek back to where she'd been shooting from, all the while awaiting a reply from Iku so she'd know if she was to take off the bow and quiver and store them for use on a later day, or if she were to draw the next arrow and begin the training session anew.

Iku observed Seresana going around picking up her arrows. It appeared that she picked up a few more than she fired. Probably left over arrows from Seresana's earlier practices. When she found the one that was stained with red. Red that was still slightly wet. Iku rubbed the side of her arm, realizing that there was some pain there. Her medication was not the best. She knew very little of medicinal things. She'd have to deal with her mild injury later at home. She would have to properly clean it, and properly tend to it. She did not want her arm to get infected by a dirty stick. Iku did not know that Seresana was disappointed at the broken arrows. Not once did the Uchiha girl ever consider she shouldn't break the arrows. She just followed through on her own movements. She figured it would be completely fine to break them, whenever she wanted to basically.

"I appreciate this session of training... It was informative," Iku responded, as Seresana came back over, after pulling the arrow from the branch. "I see I still need even more training. I did not expect to get hit." She absently rubbed her arm at the mention of it. Red could be seen staining the white of the tied cloak around her arm. "I think we can stop for now. But I would like to try to shoot the bow. It has me interested." This was Iku's way of asking nicely to use the bow.
