Fire's Far Empty
PostSubject: Fire's Far   Fire's Far I_icon_minitimeTue May 05, 2015 11:53 pm

Iku waited patiently in the park, sitting atop a small light brown wooden bench. The young teen Uchiha girl sat swinging her legs, her white cloak shifting in the gentle breeze that blew through the quaint green glade. It was a nice day out, and she was busy enjoying the weather. Today was a good day. She could get much done today. Some training in the afternoon was scheduled, right after a meeting with a certain someone. Someone was allegedly from another village. How interesting. Iku Uchiha specialized in knowledge, conversing with someone of different origin could expand that knowledge base. And who knew, perhaps the information could be better used in the future... Just imagining future prospects brought a smile to Iku's otherwise set-mouth. The girl was often considered bland and boring. Not too many around considered her for friendship, and she was nothing special to look at either.

In the dust below her swinging feet, something caught her eye. She bent forward, and prominently displayed on her back was the Uchiha clan symbol. She looked Uchiha for sure. Deep coloured eyes, with dark hair, ans fair skin. But she hardly associated herself with the clan anymore. She used their facilities, and learned of their history, when she could, but she rarely conversed with any Uchiha. Not even her family. Iku was mostly a loner. But not primarily by choice. Just no one could keep up with her. -In her opinion at least. She did talk with others. Conversationalize as it were. But not because she liked others. She wanted to learn more. The more dirty secrets, and abilities she could learn, the more advantage she held over others. See? It was merely strategic in nature. To be frank, Iku didn't understand friendship. Or really any manner of relationship as 'feelings' were concerned. A mutually beneficial relationship sure, but 'liking' or even 'loving' another? That was more alien to her than a transfer student from another village.

PostSubject: Re: Fire's Far   Fire's Far I_icon_minitimeWed May 06, 2015 11:16 pm

Yusuri sighed, not quite sure whether or not she should have followed the note's instructions. A week prior she had received a note in her small locker at the academy. The note had many stressed that she had to come, how this was purely out of formality, and how they writer had no desire to kill her because of any sort of prejudice. It seemed like a garbage lie, however, fate could play games with a person's reaction. Yusuri was affected by these same games, mind games that wished to compel her towards whoever wrote this odd note. It was not of her decision; to go or not to go. It was never a question. She would go, no matter what her reasoning stated for her to do.
As she approached the desolate park, she noticed only one person. The Uchiha girl that she had paired with a while back, during that moronic child’s game. Approaching the girl, she took a single deep breath, not for a particular reason, but simply to take a deep breathe. Focusing her vision on just the girl, Yusuri watched as Iku bent down to pick something up. Whatever it was Clypeus had no vision of from her distance, distance that was slowly closing in size. As she reached the table she walked around and sat down on the other side.
“I believe you are the one who left me the note? I would rather not get into details with someone who didn’t send the note, that would be a waste of time that can be better spent in other ways.” Yusuri stated plainly as possible. Her blunt, almost monotone voice holding nothing in terms of frustration, or anxiety. She was not in the mood, nor was she ever actually in any mood. Yusuri for her age considered herself emotionally numb, do to the overwhelming shock she went through as a younger child.

Fire's Far Empty
PostSubject: Re: Fire's Far   Fire's Far I_icon_minitimeThu May 07, 2015 12:46 am

Iku's hand had quickly darted to the small thing scuffing in the dirt. Just some beetle of sorts, that she assumed those of the Aburame clan would know or care about. To her, it was merely a test of her speed. She thought she was getting faster, or at the very least she hoped she was. When she went on morning and afternoon and late night runs -or just any runs in general- she found herself breezing through Konoha, but still found herself getting tired out. Much to her chagrin, her small stature was proving to be a milestone she still could not overcome. Her constitution was not high, a flaw with her that Iku hated admitting. Still, she would focus, and work, and attempt to become stronger still. She was still an Academy student and that was annoying her beyond anything else. Iku's dreams were big, and becoming Genin and quickly thereafter Chuunin, were a large step in fulfilling those dreams. Still, today was more of one of relaxation. She had other things on the mind. Like that weird transfer student. Speaking of which... She noticed out of the corner of her eye.

The girl that was not from Konoha, sat across the table, and Iku righted herself, holding up the beetle in one hand, lodged, squirming, between to slender pale fingers. Iku's own voice was not much, just a tad higher than this Yusuri girl's, and not quite as monotone. It was flat, but laced with sarcasm, with a hint of condescension, like Iku was looking down on the other person. -Which she inevitably was. "You waste breath," Iku began. "It's unbecoming." With a shake of her head, to clear the air, and as she squeezed the beetle, til it squished between her fingers, she spoke up. "So, you're not from Konoha. Where do you come from? Why are you here?"

Yusuri didn't seem to care, or at least she didn't believe she cared. This girl could be condescending or sarcastic as she wished, Yusuri felt no difference, a lace of sarcasm she obviously lacked, and the condescension another missing aspect of Yusuri. However, it didn’t bother her to lack qualities Iku possessed. Why should it bother the young female? It wasn’t really within her interests to have such a boastful nature, or one of such a cocky air. The girl’s speech being short and sweet though helped her understand what she was saying. Her long sentences had been a waste of breath, or perhaps she meant that Yusuri was a waste of breath. It was all a skeptical playing field, other than that it seemed the girl wanted information on Kirigakure. What was there to really say? Kirigakure's architecture was composed of several cylindrical buildings, with the Mizukage's office being the widest and largest. Most of the taller buildings had trees on them. Befitting its name, the village is surrounded by a thick mist, with several mountains in the background, making it difficult to find by foreigners.
“Unbecoming? How so?” Yusuri asked as she deciphered Iku’s next bit of dialogue, slowly rolling over in her head were the last set of syllables. What had she said? Where was she from? That was a surprise most all of the village knew her origin, most seemed to be disturbed, but never bothered to really pick a hate or like side. As for the second half what was said… Why was she here? Rather personal in Yusuri’s own opinion, but she didn’t really mind any, “I’m from Kiri. As for why I’m here, why stay somewhere you have no future beyond a incoming death?”

Iku watched the manner in which this girl from Kirigakure responded. She seemed more than reserved, she seemed sheltered inside herself. Something the Uchiha girl could relate with. There was no way she'd speak of anything like that however. Much more important things to talk about, though it was something to note. Iku was always watching, listening and jotting things down in her mind. Staring at this Kiri girl, with her wide, bland, deep blue blue-gray eyes, Iku went on. "You mean you are here, not to die?" With that, Iku's usually blank face -aside from being snide, and devilish- was one of confusion. "I do not think I understand."

The young girl got to her feet, and began pacing. "I meant for you to tell me more about your village." She stepped away, then glanced back, "I heard about a thing called... 'hunter-nin'? Could you explain that a bit more to me?" Iku was very interested in that topic, and wasn't at all interested in the fact that this girl was scared. Though she was interested in what made this girl so scared. Konoha wasn't the least bit frightening. Why was Kiri so threatening? And why was Iku so interested in that, she wondered?

Yusuri watched blankly as Iku's expression changed from a blank, snide expression, to one of muddled curiousity. However, it was not just thencuriousity that appeared, she could feel a very small aura of presence of a certain thought within the stare, one that made her seem to think that Iku viewed her as a scared run away animal. A animal that was skittish and leaving by fear. However this was purely by instinct of survival she left. Faintly Clypeus listened to what the girl was saying and asking.
"Correct, I can't afford to die such a petty death. Not like my village..." Yusuri drifted off for a moment, but feverently caught her mental train at the station and stalled it for now. Figuring out the next question, the young foreign girl laughed, it was a dull, empty laugh, all before speaking bluntly, "Hunter-Nin are like the Anbu here, but stronger and made specifically for Rogue-Nin killings only. It's currently in a slow boiling turmoil and I would have been killed long ago had I stayed. As for the place, its raining, and foggy year round. And stop giving me that look like I'm a scared little animal, I fear nothing. Instinct drives before logic, and both were screaming to get out. So I did. If you want more on the countries architechture and such they build in a cylindrical style some have trees on top of the roof, the Mizukage lives and works from the tallest of these structures."

Iku stood a small distance away, with her side to the Kiri girl, gazing off into the rustling forests around the clearing, the bright blue sky overhead, with a warm sun shining down. It was a nice day. A nice day for a chat. Her solemn eyes swiveled over to the other girl. "They sound efficient, and brutal. Quite dangerous. Why though? Why would you die? Are you a missing-nin?" Iku inquired, her voice level the same, flat as ever. "Maybe that is a dumb question." After hearing about the village, Iku nodded, and glanced away again, her white cloak blowing in the breeze. "I like rain. The gentle sound helps me think. Here, it's too lukewarm. Too static. Boring." Her words were concise, but held double meanings. Perhaps the other girl was too simple to hear the undertones Iku was giving out. Not that it mattered either way. "You fear nothing? Odd. You just said you feared dying. You claim it's instinct. Yet all I hear is a mewling kit, wanting a warm mother to take care of it." A smirk appeared upon her thin lips. "Remember, Konoha is much clearer than your Kirigakure," her eyes were glinting, as their deep pools met the other girl's. "Here, it's not quite as easy to hide in the fog."

PostSubject: Re: Fire's Far   Fire's Far I_icon_minitimeFri May 08, 2015 6:39 pm

Yusuri sighed, this girl had just said something and she couldn't decipher it. Judging from the snark look though, Yusuri figured it was another remark of her being a scared little animal again. sighing, Yusuri looked at the girl and followed her gaze towards whatever it was she saw. Opening her mouth to speak, the younger girl began to explain a bit more, "I can't really decipher what you just said, so I’m going to assume you made another bad attempt at making me feel rather bad about leaving my village, which, was by choice. See there is such a thing as someone above us, and while you may be strong, the instructors at the academy even are still numerous times stronger than you. Now imagine all of those people with a sort of temper where they wouldn't mind decapitating you for looking at them wrong. Now further your, and this is my assumption, but your rather small imagination and send all those ninjas into a slowly growing turmoil. I left before the tea kettle started to whistle. So again, instinct said to leave, and if you're as smart as they say you should also see logical reasoning in my decision? No?”
Leaning back into the air and sitting in that bent position as if she were suspended in the air her eyes followed Iku. This girl was very, other worldly., Yusuri couldn’t figure it out, however, as she took in a breath through her nostrils she could tell it was on the horizon, to most anyone they would never be able to smell this without having been around the watery, almost unfindable scent of rain, “A storm is brewing, it’ll be a good day for practice then.”

Iku looked at her directly. This time facing her. A gust of wind made her long white cloak ruffle harshly like leaves on a tree. Her face was set. "No," she answered simply. And suddenly a kunai was in her small hand. With a quick burst of speed, she was beside the Kiri girl, leaning in close, pressing the other girl's back against the harsh wooden table. She held up the knife, pointing it near the Kiri girl. "What if I were to kill you here? Help your village out? Seeing as you're convinced they were going to kill you. Maybe I'll be doing them a favor." To press her point home, she pushed the kunai against the other girl, and raised it toward her neck. "Your 'instinct' brought you here. Whoops. Still trust your instinct?" With a snicker, Iku withdrew, pulling the dangerously-close kunai away, and making it vanish under her white cloak. She turned around, "Again. You waste a lot of breath." She breathed in deeply. "I don't care about your little problems. I don't care about your 'need' to survive. I don't even care if you're from another village. However, your 'instinct' is interesting. Warrants further study." With a glance back at her, Iku stated, "It's similar to my own instinct."

Yusuri sighed as her back hit the table, however, she showed no sign of change in her appearance, or statuesque aura. No form of fear or anger, simply a blank, lazy stare at the lips of the girl who had moved atop of her. had it not been for the kunai knife the situation may have looked like a romance of some sort, but the knife was visible and pressed to her throat. Yusuri still made no movement only listened in on what Iku said through her reading of lips. "If you wanted to kill me, you wouldn't have said otherwise in the note, you would have left it blank. Also my instinct would have called you a threatening presence way back when we first met if you were going to skewer me now, or slit my throat."
Swiveling from her seat and standing up she walked up to the shorter girl and looked down at her. It became really ironic to Yusuri how the shorter of the two was so very condescending, almost made one think she was trying to compensate for something. Looking Iku Uchiha in the eye she spoke in her normal bland voice, "When are you going to learn I can't decipher anything you say when your looking away?" Yusuri asked, her vocals void of the frustration that normally came with such a statement. Of course, this was the girl sometimes called 'Hyōtan', the gourd.

Iku didn't know what she expected. Did she expect some sort of response? Some sign of fear? She didn't know. But this girl was naiive. Iku was a threatening presence. She just didn't know it yet. "It would've been so easy to kill you, and your eye's didn't even blink," she noted simply. The note? Who cared about the note. It was just a small, simple note, scrawled out quickly, with little recourse of nature. It had beckoned, that had been all. It seemed this girl's instincts needed to be honed just a bit more. Iku could help with that. Though if she wanted to or not, remained to be seen. "I don't care if you cannot 'decipher' what I'm saying. Or if you can understand what I mean. I don't care about anything like that. If you understand, then you do. If you don't then you don't. Simple as that."

"True, your logic is sound. I also see no point in trying to get you to think otherwise." Yusuri said in response as she looked up and let out what was possible the sort of smile you would expect to see on a ceramic doll. A horrifyingly creepy smile of something a young boy would think is out to kill him. Taking a deep breathe she spoke again her voice shifting slightly to a calm, spacey tone, the monotone ever presently keeping the pitch steady on one note. Her hand reaching out into thin air, she snapped her fingers, "It's raining now." She said, and as she words rang into the air the water began to fall. The rain had a different tune from its normal downfall today though, it was calm, the normal dryness gone. Replaced by a misty feeling that wished only to daze you.

Iku wasn't watching the other girl, so she didn't see her specific mannerisms, but she could imagine them. Gently, she lifted her head up, as a small droplet of water splashed against her pale cheek. The raindrop ran down her face, like a very placid waterfall, as she stared up at the gray, cloudy sky overhead. Gentle booms of thunder, lighting the gentle gray clouds. Music to her ears. "I like the rain," Iku repeated. Now wasting her own breath. "Say," she began. "You're gunna do something for me." She once more turned to the Kiri girl. Clenching her fists she went on, her voice calm, and soft. Not quite monotone, but not entirely filled with emotion either, she said, "You, Kiri-girl, are going to stick beside me. I like your unusual origins. I think you could be rather useful. ...Yes. Useful. So, you we will fight over it. Whoever wins, gets something from the other." Narrowing her eyes, she went on, "'The victors always decide'." Iku's eternal motto.

Had Yusuri been a emotion feeling person and not a hollow gourd-like woman with no feelings, the statement may have sounded like a 'Please go out with me' or a 'marry me' question, with a bit of a ninja-esque spin. Letting off another porcelain smile she nodded, “ Very well. You are quite the oddity yourself, so it would be my honor to accompany you. However, a small sparring match in the rain seems like fun. Does this specific area work for you? As long as it’s raining I may just have a chance.” Without getting an answer to a rhetorical question she flipped backwards and slide to a halt some bit off. The area of which they occupied was a large mud splotch surrounded by small patches of grass, and a stone every few feet, pebbles everywhere scattered like sprinkles on a pastry. With that she pulled out two kunai knives, and got into a state to dance.

Iku was somewhat confused. It seemed she had already answered. And her answer had been yes. Well of course it had! The question had come from Iku Uchiha! One who was bound for greatness! It just meant this person could see that. However, that meant the fight was pointless. Or rather, semi-pointless. A grin crossed Iku's face. A sparring match would be good. Regardless if she had already technically won. Iku did the same, flipping backwards, her white cloak spreading out like wings. With her landing, her stance widened, and she held up her fists. Her boots were pressed down into the growing mud, her short dark hair was pressed down, plastering to her face. Iku pushed some of her hair out of the way, and focused her gaze on her new would-be opponent. She was battling inside, on whether or not she should use the Sharingan. On one hand, she probably wouldn't need it, and she didn't want it to be a crutch. On the other -why not? She wouldn't start with it, anyways. See how the flow of battle went. "Well, come at me Kiri-girl. Oh! That reminds me. I don't even know your name."

"Yusuri. Clypeus, Yusuri." The young blank girl said as Iku's words registered a good minute or so after they had been said, "Besides that I have something I want to try, and now is a perfect time." With that she rolled her shoulders, and gotup in a rather wide, and open stance, she had been meaning to test it now. Something she had always thought was a mark of a strong female ninja. Seeing Iku wasn't going to aggress her first she started forward, her and there she would begin to spin and bring her other leg forward as if in a low sweeping kick. It didn't seem to slow her much though, as she got close to Iku she spun again, only this time her sweeping leg brought up the watery mud in front of her towards Iku in a wave of dirty water. Yusuri used this as a temperary covering and pulled out two more kunai one for each hand. Jumping upwards the Clypeus child spun once more throwing her first kunai at Iku, the second to Iku's left, the third to the Uchiha's right and the last one flying behind the shorter girl. Landing back down the mud splashed upwards and she sunk in for a moment before Yusuri moved backwards again, retreating for Iku Uchiha's counter.

Fire's Far Empty
PostSubject: Re: Fire's Far   Fire's Far I_icon_minitimeMon May 11, 2015 8:58 pm

Iku was generally the aggressor in matches. She felt that she had to end things quickly to not only assert her dominance, but to actually survive encounters. She had yet to be in anything quite dangerous to her person, but she always acted like every encounter could be her last. 'Could' in quotes, as Iku never thought she'd be defeated, but the idea hung in the air. She thought this way, because if every encounter seemed harrowing, then every encounter would be treated seriously, and that every encounter would lead to her training and honing her skills even further. Despite still being only an Academy student. Iku knew she was already better than most, but she liked to pretend fights were fair. Even when she was saying they weren't. Just another tactic of hers to continue her training. Generally though, Iku was the aggressor, as her constitution was not high, so she would rely on her speed and agility to one-up opponents. She couldn't last long if she took blows, so that was always on her mind. Perhaps she should have a training session... specifically for taking hits. Perhaps. Not now though.

Being the fast, agile girl she was. She quickly stopped Yusuri's first kick, blocking it low. The second spin came in quick, and again both of Iku's hands went to catch the attack. Mud splashed across her face and onto her person, but it was a momentary annoyance. Then Yusuri mounted an attack at a distance, chucking four kunai in different areas. Spreading the attack, equated to better chance at hitting. Still, Iku was faster than Yusuri, her reaction time was quicker than the other girl had anticipated. And with two kunai - quickly brandished in each hand, Iku blocked each of the four kunai. Letting them bounce off her blades with loud clangs of metal on metal. Iku, then darted forward, but found her feet unable to accommodate as easily and quickly in the mud. Something she would have to account for later on. When she was in a real fight in the rain. Annoyingly, this amounted to her movement being slightly slower than intended. She intended to do a leaping spinning kick, but the mud had loosened her run, and instead, she went with a second option, to make her movement more flowy, with a quick strike to the lower stomach, as Yusuri was landing.

Fire's Far Empty
PostSubject: Re: Fire's Far   Fire's Far I_icon_minitimeMon May 11, 2015 11:19 pm

Yusuri was a gourd slowly being filled up by the rain, this weather was her favorite kind of weather. The drizzle pouring down her neck, the splashing of water on dirt, a reminder that water would always be able to move a stone, and that water ruled both the heaven and the land under a calm, benevolent flow, and a wrathful and sad strength as it poured from the sky in a downpour of weeping anger. This was definitely the best of storms, the rain of a storm, and only the rain of a storm.
Quite the blow, and a lot of damage would have been done. Quite the destruction to be seen from this Uchiha girl. Quite the adventure fate had brought her to. She knew that this girl probably would need her in the future. Yusuri saw a reason to follow through with a mission this girl had given her. Iku would become increasingly demanding as the mission progressed, and the end of the line was probably death. But she would do what she could until then, she was curious for the first time in forever to see where the trail would lead up to in the unstable mountain of life.
Iku’s blow was powerful, easily enough to knock Yusuri down for the count. A blow that couldn’t have been blocked, but easily evaded of much damage. Yusuri could have easily just let the initial impact push her backwards and slide to a stop, or she could have swiveled in a semicircle and struck Iku from behind. However, Yusuri had already lost in her mind, there was little to absolutely no reason for this battle anymore. It was a drag out, besides she knew long before she started she couldn’t win even in this terrain advantage. Taking the blow’s brunt force, Yusuri in a almost invisible, vague movement pushed forward, strengthening the blow further as it sent her several meters skidding into the mud. Giving a porcelain smile she bowed, her right arm on her waist, much like how a butler greets his master, or a ninja greets a Kage. Closing her eyes she spoke, “I lied, I knew I wouldn’t win. I will formally forfeit, what is it you want?” Yusuri asked, monotone present.

Iku felt her blow connect. Well, that was not surprising. Her speed far outmatched Yusuri's. And that was one of her quicker strikes she had unleashed in awhile, even despite the small slip-up from the muddy terrain underfoot. That being said, she was surprised, when she felt much more of a powerful impact, then she had been expecting. It was almost as if Yusuri was pushing into the blow, as opposed to attempting to pull away from it. She had injured herself there? Why? A moment later, after the attack's connection, Iku stood upright, and watched as Yusuri sank back, away from the attack, winded, and with a quick defeat. Then Iku watched as Yusuri gave in, relenting the short-lived battle won, to Iku Uchiha. Rain plastered Iku's hair over her face, and she momentarily wiped aside those dark locks.

"Get up, enough of that," Iku said darkly. That simple bow had irked Iku. She was no monarch. At least not yet. "You shame yourself. I do not shame myself. If you are to work for me. You will need to learn, to not shame yourself. Otherwise you'll anger me. If you shame yourself, you shame me. I will not be merciful. Understand?" It was a simple, quick warning. Iku meant business. She meant business, at all times, always. Yusuri would come to learn that. "You will stick with me, and when I find something of use of you, then I will say it. Understood?"

Fire's Far Empty

Yusuri quickly came back up from the bow, not meaning the gesture as a rude remark, but rather a way to formally forfeit. Much like how one would apologize, bowing their head in respect. Watching the shorter girl’s lips move Yusuri was quick to figure out what was being said, of course, this was still rather laggish as understanding how to read lips was a art nigh comprehensible to a beginner such as her. As she watched the girl talk, she rain continued to fall. The wind dead as she looked about her misty grey, void-like eyes following every movement in Iku’s lips. The trench coat that Yusuri wearing at all times doing it’s job of keeping her warm and dry underneath.
“I apologize for the misconduct. I will try not to disappoint your expectations again, my Lady.” Yusuri said. She knew this older, shorter girl was much, much stronger than her and she would probably be behind in her shadow for a very large portion of her life to come. However, she would be this person’s shield as well. Her goal had been to protect everyone, but that was when she lived in a world where everyone needed to be protected. Here and now she had a different goal, protect Uchiha, Iku with even the cost of her life. Not that she believed this girl would appreciate such a sacrifice, this she would do without defiance to her own rules. “Modesty of one’s skill is the first step to knowing how to improve, negativity is the second, and the last, a unbending mountain of will to do whatever it may take.” That was Yusuri Clypeus’ own philosophy, a way of life, and, of course, her very own Nindo way.

Iku stared at Yusuri, even as water flowed over her eyes and face, blurring her vision. Something about this person's conduct and behavior was unusual. Still, Iku herself was rather unusual, so she didn't speak up on the manner again. If Yusuri wanted to be formal, and bow, and call her 'my Lady', 'ma'am', 'mistress', or anything similar that was her own prerogative. As long as she followed the orders given to her. Iku found herself, standing in the cold rain, thinking on this arrangement. She hadn't originally intended for it to turn out this way, from this meeting, but it did suit her. A girl defected from Kirigakure. Was now working for her. She was amused by the possibilities stemming from this new development. Iku was always thinking, and always calculating. She was practically made for a leadership position. Even if her particular orders, or brand of leadership would not be taken so well. Iku would prove to be a hard one to follow, but Yusuri gave her word. Iku didn' necessarily trust Yusuri, but she knew she could count on the other girl. As it was apparent Yusuri would follow her instructions. Iku hardly listened to Yusuri's own motto, not caring much for it herself, instead, ideas flowed through her mind, and she simply nodded. Eagerness took over her face. Eager to see what would come of this in the future.
